In the renewal it has the following

SEATING TERM UPDATE
The 10-year seating term for the areas listed below expired following the 2025 season. Beginning with the 2026 season, the seating term for these areas will automatically renew on a one-season basis each year on Feb. 1, unless the 12th Man Foundation provides written notice of new seating terms and any applicable requirements prior to that date:
North Lower Armchair (115-118), North Upper Armchair (314-327), Northeast Upper Bench (329), North Upper Bench (409-419), Prime East Benchback (125-126), Southeast Upper Bench (339-340), South Lower Bench (133), South Mid Bench (239-245), South Upper Bench (342-350), West Endzone Armchair (301-302, 311-313), West Bench (401-402, 407-408), Prime West Bench (403-406), Faculty & Staff Seating (114, 127, 134, 246, 350-351), Lettermen Seating (118-119, 328-329, 420-421).

Is this a reseating like they did when they did the expansion?

Do we reseat every year now based on priority points?

I didn't take that as them reseating us. Just that we're out of the 10 year guarantee and subject to reseating if they wanted to.

Sure seems like reseating will be on a yearly basis.

My opinion*

It gives them the right to reseat with a year's notice. They have to do 1 year at a time to keep everyone (old and new donors) on the same schedule.

Reseating doesn't make any sense unless they change the level of donations/add amenities that would require to move people around.

I wouldn't sweat it until you start hearing rumors of major upgrades to the stadium.

Re-seating just to re-seat is just going to piss people off.

* This, of course, is based on common sense, and I cannot guarantee that anyone will be using it.

one way to reseat...

just keep increasing the required donation amount per seat

and that will move out some folks...and allow others to move in

my interpretation of the email is that going forward we will have year to year renewal of our seats, but subject to price changes (increases i'm sure)

at least that's what i hope i'm seeing

No, not a reseating. If you are in affected section (as I am in 115) it just means annual renewals now. Some other high $$ sections are having a new term / contract.

As always and before, you will essentially have right of first refusal on your seats via renewal, if the price is too high or you want to give them up, so be it, just don't renew.

When the 12th Man Foundation first mentioned this a year ago, I asked them if everyone was going to be reseated like 10 years ago. I was told that we could keep our seats as long as we kept renewing those seats.

The 12MF has no interest in moving anyone out of their seats.

They simply have no interest in getting sued again.

As long as anyone is willing to pony up current prices, they are more than happy to keep them exactly where they are.

I think somebody lied to you or more likely said
" there are no immediate plans to do a reseating so as long as you make donations and renew on time will be fine"

If the Ags keep winning there will be a reseat sooner or later. I just hope they dont let people have 30+ tuckets inder one account and that account can scoop up all the best seats in All the different areas

New large donors have to be allowed to get groups of good seats and the only way they can do that is by doing a reseating

So, is that about a 19% increase in total cost / seat ?

You can probably expect to have an annual increase of 10% to 20% every year on the overall cost.
= "Ticket Price & Donation Amount" for season football tickets.

The cost of D1 College Football and other major D1 sports is only going to go up.
The Athletic departments have to find a way to pay for every thing.

Looking at the map seems likely the contracts expiring in 2026 will be renewed in an annual basis and a grand reseat will happen when all of the current deals expire in 5 years wouldn't make sense to force a reseat when the people would not have options to move up to the premium seats

No way they could sustain 10-20% per year. I'm guessing it will be somewhere under 10% per year on average.

There is an old Ag in LC6 that has roughly 20 seats. It's mostly him, the wife, their grandkids and their friends for the big games and lots of empty chairs 3/4 games a year. Good for him and appreciate the support. Just wonder if they're better off doing a suite so more Ags have the chance to use those seats.

I did not see the word reseating in the email from the 12th Man.

Seating terms expiring just means we are year to year renewals which is no different than before.

I don't remember the "contract terms" or language of our capital campaign donations back in 2013-2014, but my general recollection was that the seating term was just the period of time they "promised" not to levy another capital campaign like donation requirement to retain our seats. For that 10 years, they said we would only have the per seat donation and ticket prices to pay each year, along with any annual increases in both of those categories, but there would be no additional "special" donation required.

Now that the term has expired they can levy another "special" lump sum donation to retain seats in our current sections, any year they want as long as they tell us before Feb 1. And that special donation would just give us the right to keep buying tickets in these sections every year, but the specific seats we buy would still require the normal annual seat donations and of course ticket prices.

At this point, I would not be surprised if they just start requiring a lump sum "special" donation on a more regular basis without any term guarantees. They kind of needed to guarantee us something in 2013-2014, to finance the construction and get us to buy into a future place in the new stadium. Now there really is no burden to "guarantee" anyone anything.

As for an actual reseating, I would not expect any such thing again on a whole stadium level unless there is another major construction project that eliminates current sections. What did they do to the existing season ticket holders in the South Zone when they ate up some of their seats to add the new higher dollar club seating?

In the end, we all have our price where we will keep buying, and our price where we'll draw a line and stay home. But I suspect there is a long enough waiting list that anyone that walks away will be replaced quickly and easily. I think there would have to be a large exodus before sales would suffer. They'll just boil all of us by gradually increasing the heat every year so we don't jump out of the pot.

Kudos to those who keep paying for this I guess. I'd rather take trips and do stuff with family that doesn't obligate me to 14ish nights in The C-Stat Station every fall. As much as I love it.

The Ags (in their current and future forms of semi pro football) could win a national championship and I'd be happier than a pig in **** watching from home.

Not worth the time but I can understand how people are free to use/throw away money as they deem fit. I'm sure how I choose to spend mine would confuse people as well.

Could be the "no immediate plans" explanation - it's been a year since I talked to them and I didn't take notes.

Just an FYI. Many of the west side armchair ticket holders, that don't seat renew before 2030, are getting a 31% increase for next season - seats, not TMF increase.

Going 11-2 makes the models and recs from the experts such an incredibly awesome decision...

Folks. they already priced me out years ago.

But you should be ready for a sizeable increase every season. There were 20,000 new graduates that may be competing for tickets every year. And the athletic office knows it. They know the people in the cheaper seats want to move. A&M is still selling out Kyle, regardless of who the competition is. So demand allows them to jack up the prices.

Have to be admitted. Have to pay semester fees for fall. Have to order an all-sports pass before sold out.

Better? Depends on classification. If graduate student you "pull" with seniors in the lottery. I bought passes from my research professor's team lab co-workers when they were physical in the early 80s and that was cool…

I don't think the scheme is durable though.

This. I don't expect another reseating any time in the foreseeable future, but a capital campaign, where we are required to kick in some money, is entirely possible. As long as seat demand doesn't get as tight as it is for baseball, where they have a hard time finding a pair of tickets for someone who wants to give seven figures, there's no reason to reseat for football.
