    Worst Moments-Schlossnagle leaving for texas university after losing the MCWS-Appalachian State -All of the bad finishes -Preseason #1 baseball to miss regionals

Someday we might own the horns like they own us. What's downright depressing though, is our best D-line in decades lost to one of their worst O-lines in decades.

Omaha 2024 was spoiled by Schloss. Aggie basketball has had some good moments like when Wade Taylor became the all time leading scorer. Another low is Aggie softball 1 seed exit in regionals after we lost to Liberty.

The answers to this question are ironically not football-related.

Best: Natty in V-ball
Worst: Final World Series game lost by 1 run due to JS ghosting the team with one foot outdoor to swordfight with his buddy Del Conte in a Snook cemetery - This was massively in the heads of the players.

Best Moments, in no particular order:

  • Volleyball national title
  • Men's basketball NCAA tourney comeback vs. Northern Iowa
  • Manziel era - too many individual moments to list
  • 2022 and 2024 baseball seasons - forget the head coach, the players were incredible
  • We have national titles in men's and women's track and women's tennis as well
  • Men's basketball won the SEC title in 2016
  • Our two best ever Director's Cup finishes (2013, 2024) have come in the SEC
  • 2025 CFP bid
Some bad moments, also in no particular order:

  • Watching football seasons collapse late all too often
  • The Bird Kuhn volleyball era
  • Losing our POS baseball coach to a POS university
  • The Joni Taylor women's basketball era
  • Only 5 men's NCAA basketball tourney appearances in 13 seasons
  • Softball losing a home regional in 2025 despite being the #1 overall seed
  • The end of the Rob Childress era in baseball

When Schloss left I didn't sleep that night. And I'm not even really sure I'd call myself a baseball fan.

The last month of the 2012 season was probably the best time I've had as an Aggie football fan. Just felt like we were truly the best team in America that peaked a week or two too late. Beating Bama winning the Heisman, blowing out OU in the Cotton Bowl, that was the best.

I was at the 2025 Notre Dame and 2021 Bama wins. Those would be tied for 2nd.

College World Series appearances in 2017, 2022, and 2024, especially the final in 2024

Worst moments
Blowing a 34-point lead in the 3rd quarter at UCLA in 2017

59-0 loss at Alabama in 2014

2016 collapse that lost 4 consecutive SEC games and then the Texas bowl

2024 collapse that lost 3 consecutive SEC games and then the Las Vegas Bowl

Jim Schlossnagle leaving us for Texas

2025 baseball team became first preseason No. 1 team to miss out on the tournament since 1991. We went 1-19 in SEC play, including getting swept at home by a Missouri team went 0-27 against their other 9 SEC opponents. Even worse, Missouri outscored us by a combined score of 23-8.

17-14 home loss to Appalachian State in 2022

50-7 loss to LSU in 2019

10-game road losing streak from the last 2 SEC games of 2021 through the 2023 season

Another low point is how many bans TexAgs kept handing out during the 24 hours before Schloss "officially left" for people disparaging a Texas A&M employee even though TexAgs knew he was leaving.
