One place I thought we were lacking in the 2022 class was OL. And of course over the next couple of seasons we had the worst QB pressure allowed in the SEC and every year couldn't make it through September with our starting QB.

I'm glad that Elko and staff appreciate how important BOTH sides of the trenches are

Look……you put three in the NFL draft, this is the end result. And none of the three in the draft had the pure talent of Matthews and Kennedy Brown if we're being honest. They DEVELOPED into NFL level guys

Looking at the On3 rankings and this could get crazy. (edit to note these are the Rivals Industry rankings)

Matthews would give us #6, #11, #15, #19 and #30. All five stars.

They also have us leading for:

#2 John Meredith CB
#14 Albert Simien IOL
#23 Kaden Henderson LB
#25 Oluwasemilore Olubobola OT
#26 Eric McFarland WR

that would be 10 5 stars to go with 8 4 stars including #40, #53 and #61.

I know it's early and most teams and putting their money in the portal and the class of 2022 did not work out...but sure seems like a good time to be an Aggie.

Seems like a risk/reward issue. We pay big money for high schoolers that may or may not produce, and if we develop them, they can go and get paid elsewhere? Are there any stipulations to NIL these days?
