Surprised there's not lots of sad whining posts about him winning
Good job JFF!
No one was sad about him winning. We're sad that he feels like he has to do this sort of thing to stay relevant.
So sad that he fought at the UFC Apex in an event put on by Dana White. What an embarrassment!
Find the event on youtube and you will understand. It was a strange, sad fight card that felt dirty to even watch.
It was weird, who cares. Influencer boxing is a big trend, there were some serious people that backed this and some decent names that competed on the card.
I do not get why so many people are pressed that he did this. Seems fun and it was clearly easy money.
The announcers were mocking all of the people who competed. It was a televised farce. He fought a guy that 95% of TexAgs posters could have beat the **** out of. Most of us that post are concerned about his choices do so because we've seen this act before from other former athletes or from people we know who squander their talents and opportunities. Every year that goes by without them getting their head on straight and finding something meaningful to do with their lives, is another year closer to a bad result that they don't come back from.
Ultimately, Johnny is a grown man who is going to do what he wants to every day for the rest of his life, but given that he's our most legendary football player of at least the 21st century, if not all time, it's tough, especially for people who are parents, to watch this continued behavior.
