Those two goofballs looked ridiculous.

At least he won.

He isn't getting a UFC offer anytime soon, but he honestly looked pretty decent. Threw a few good kicks, ducked under a punch, countered with a takedown, and then pummeled whoever the other random schlep is.

I genuinely think he did better than 90% of 33 year olds would. After 10 years of hard partying and that sad weigh in picture, I thought he'd look slow and terrible. But he moved and struck well.

I respect anyone who steps into the cage with 4 oz gloves, no matter how bad or inexperienced they are. Those 4 oz gloves don't provide any impact protection (to the guy eating punches).
Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screw-up.

Manziel has flamed out. 14 years ago he did something great for our program. Now he's basically a has been that just refuses to take the back seat. Nothing good comes out of this.

So what. Payton Manning is doing visa card advertisements.

Manziel is just trying to capitalize on an opportunity, and decided getting hit in the face was the best way to do that.

Honestly, with some proper training, he could do really well and make some money.

You could see him get that look in his eye as soon as it started. One thing Johnny is good at is winning no matter what. He was never going to lose this match.

Tell me you don't follow MMA without telling me you don't follow MMA…
No one in that ring Saturday night showed anything close to professional talent. It was like two drunk bears trying to mash each other.

JFF FOREVER but that was tough to watch.

It isn't like he could join the UFC or an actual promotion.

But with the way the influencer boxing and fighting continues to take off, I am sure he could be competitive fighting YouTubers if he wanted.

Surprised there's not lots of sad whining posts about him winning

Good job JFF!

No one was sad about him winning. We're sad that he feels like he has to do this sort of thing to stay relevant.

So sad that he fought at the UFC Apex in an event put on by Dana White. What an embarrassment!

Find the event on youtube and you will understand. It was a strange, sad fight card that felt dirty to even watch.

It was weird, who cares. Influencer boxing is a big trend, there were some serious people that backed this and some decent names that competed on the card.

I do not get why so many people are pressed that he did this. Seems fun and it was clearly easy money.

If you didn't laugh out loud when JFF said he needs a cigarette then you take yourself too seriously

From what I expected (which was extremely low),.he didn't look too bad. The other guy he fought was a tomato can but Manziel didn't look that bad considering he probably trained for two weeks (if that) prior to the match.

The announcers were mocking all of the people who competed. It was a televised farce. He fought a guy that 95% of TexAgs posters could have beat the **** out of. Most of us that post are concerned about his choices do so because we've seen this act before from other former athletes or from people we know who squander their talents and opportunities. Every year that goes by without them getting their head on straight and finding something meaningful to do with their lives, is another year closer to a bad result that they don't come back from.

Ultimately, Johnny is a grown man who is going to do what he wants to every day for the rest of his life, but given that he's our most legendary football player of at least the 21st century, if not all time, it's tough, especially for people who are parents, to watch this continued behavior.

Yeah, because their careers and likability are 100% analogous.

This reminds me of the Sigma Chi Fight night that Sam Houston had. Anyone could enter and different weight classes. Bell rang and it was one swing after the other most hitting only air.
