Sarks going to have to respond.
Destractions are the best.
I like tech picking on big brother knowing it can't happen

i don't think anyone actually thinks its going to happen

i love that mcguire and campbell are saying this. makes for great college football drama/trash talk.

but sark isn't going to respond. he wants this to go away quickly.

Sip might break an ankle running to cancel the Ohio state game.

Anyone else remember when the sips cancelled their non-conference game vs/at Hawaii (back when June Jones had Hawaii doing pretty well), at a late date at that?

Sips claimed that the travel expense was too expensive for them.

Translation: Sips were afraid they'd lose

This is like some punk in a bar picking a fight with a real fighter. The longhorns have nothing to gain by doing this. Now, if they want to schedule something in the future, I'd be for this. I'll be glad when the Red Raiders are finally put in their place. This has me rooting for the longhorns in this situation.

Sark started this.

Root for the orange team if it makes you feel better, but this is Tech hitting back at a coach that shot his mouth off about a team that isn't in his conference or on his schedule.

If Sark is mad that Tech made the CFP last year and Texas didn't? Well, the simple answer is get good and stop letting teams like Florida beat you.

Sark started playing at something he shouldn't and now he's getting his comeuppance.

"In this conference, the margin for error is razor-thin. You look across the league, and the parity from top to bottom is real. If you don't show up with the right mental intensity, anybody can beat anybody on a given Saturday."

This is embarrassing for Texas Tech. It's a publicity stunt designed to generate attention than a serious proposal. They're desperate for attention

The whole thing comes across as an attempt to create headlines and stir up excitement rather than a realistic discussion. If I were a Tech fan, I'd be cringing at this.

I have to side with the ******s in Austin on this one. Don't play those clowns.

Maybe sark shouldn't run his mouth. Tech is just calling him out on his BS.

Sark definitely ran his mouth, but he is probably right and what he said likely applies to a number of teams in the SEC/B1G. Here is Tech's schedule:
v. ACU (FCS)
@Oregon State
v. Houston
v. Sam Houston
@Colorado
v. Arizona St.
@Cincinnati
v. Arizona
v. WVU
@Oklahoma St.
@Baylor
v. TCU

The only way this would really live up to Sark's comments though is for tu to only play their 2nd and 3rd string players.

And then what would that gain tceh?

Tech with no qb headed into the season loses this by 28 before Sark calls off the dogs. I guess tech is just happy having people talk about them and not their gambling addicted qb.

Tech knows tu will never say yes, even if they know they'll win the game. That's the point.

They want tu to say no to forever have this over them.

This

They are asking Texas to give up a home game so the buyout would be in $20M range to the city of Austin.

If they were serious they would offer to pay Ohio State to take their spot in Austin.

But they aren't serious.

Why not offer for those two cupcakes to play each other and pocket the cash. As for the venue, if Allen HS doesn't have a game, they could play there.

Some of you hate tx so much, yet can see the move pulled by tech, so yall defend them? I actually applaud MGuire for this. He knew how to turn the table and narrative on them, when they're always the ones doing it. We could learn how to take a page from his PR book.

And yet for as much as everybody hates the sips, Sark was absolutely correct and tech plays a joke of a schedule in a joke of a conference.

Texas could play Tech and Sark's argument would still be spot on. Playing one tough game does not make Tech's schedule difficult. Playing 9 SEC games and Ohio State does. Sark is saying EXACTLY what we have been saying since 2012. Tech is the perfect example of what is wrong with the committee. The fact the committee would put a 11-1 Tech ahead of or in place of a 10-2 A&M is the problem Sark is voicing. He's on the money and it's WAY past time for the committee to pay attention.

Tech finished last year ranked #8 and beat four teams that finished in the top 25 by 3+ scores (and had five total top 25 wins - beat BYU twice). Tech finished ahead of A&M in both polls.

Tech has to play the hand it was dealt. Tech's schedule this year is embarrassingly easy… no question. Part of that is because no one wants to schedule a home and home with Tech. I don't blame them.

I personally hate the Big 12. I hope Tech eventually gets a shot at the Big 10 before the whole thing falls apart. I think Tech is starting to push for that but has work to do.

As for Sark - if he's *****ing about Tech getting into the CFP and the whorns didn't, here's the solution: get good and don't lose to Florida. Problem solved. Tech isn't UT's problem. UT is UT's problem. Sark's panties got dropped to his ankles by Cody Campbell and I think it's hilarious. Sark needs to drink less or drink more, but what he's currently doing isn't working.

Burnt doesnt look bad for this at all. Tech looks desperate and is drawing more attention to the fact they play a crap schedule.

They need burnt, and Sark can still state tech has a crap schedule while he faces OSU, and his first true meat grinder schedule in the SEC. Every week getting prime coverage.

And why would any other top ranked team want to play a tech. There is absolutely nothing to gain when you already play like 6 -7 quality opponents.

Its hilarious that Tech's schesule peaks with BYU.
