Keep it up. Crazy it's taken 21 years for a club outside the big 5 to win the league.

Manchester City has been down in the 3rd level in the Premier League era and has had several seasons outside of the top flight. It wasn't surprising they won, given how much money they spent, but they were hardly a continuation of a dominant powerhouse. They were a new team at the top.

This. Man City broke the ice. They sold their soul to do it, but before they won it was the big 4. This year maybe it becomes the big 6.

Even Chelsea was more of a Johnny come lately than a true power when they won. I think most of the "Big 4" type stuff came about based on the same teams qualifying for the champions league places every time since that became really big rather than who won the title every year.

True. And fortunately that mold has been broken. At least temporarily. No matter who wins Leicester and Spurs will be in the champions league and Chelsea and Liverpool will not. And going into next year, assuming both of these teams can stay together, it is hard to see them not there again(although Leicester will need to add quite a bit of depth).

Vardy sent off for a second yellow with a blatant dive. Last 30 min will be dicey now

That was an easy call. And stupid. And he misses next match.

The penalty was a weak one, I thought. But the second goal was quality.

Leicester had totally lost their composure. Pushing and shoving before that free kick and then the PK. Will Vardy's dive the beginning of their fall?

I'm not sure how you call the one a penalty kick, and ignore an arm around the neck at the other end.

Wow. That's a PK. I know that goes on all the time but it was blatant and obvious.

Edit. I was about 5 minutes behind. I was talking about the neck lock being a missed call. Didn't realize that as I was typing there was the make up being made at the end live.

Make up call.

I know it'll never happen, but I'd almost like to see the penalty area change shape and size. Is it truly equitable that a foul in the farthest corner result in an almost guaranteed goal?

They should have had the make up call on the take down a few minutes earlier.

That is a really weak call. You don't call the blatant neck arm lock and you call a bump with 15 seconds left. It's like someone buzzed Moss' earpiece and said "make it up. Now."

There are bookies everywhere that want Andy Carroll dead. That could have been the beginning of the end to LCs run.

I mean, it could still happen, especially with vardy suspended for next match.

2 pretty dubious penalties. Not Moss's best performance.

I agree with both penalties. I hate the man hugging that happens on all free kicks and the andy carol foul is a foul everywhere else on he pitch

I agree that they are, by letter of the law, penalties. The issue is that 95% of the time, neither would be called. It's the equivalent of an ump who can't maintain a consistent strike zone. You either call those fouls 100% of the time or zero.

The first one of LC was not a good call but it was the result of what went in before the free kick. Morgan was pushing and holding and Moss had held the kick up and had told him to stop it and clean it up. It was almost like he had made his decision to call that before the kick.

The arm hold on Houth's neck was a blatant PK that should have been called but I will say that goes on with every free kick into the penalty area and it's rarely called.

The call at the end was just horrible. if you are going to call that level of contact you will have to call 20 PKs a game. It may end up being the difference in who ends up on top of the table at the end.

Moss had a tough last 8 minutes. And he had a good game up to that point. Tossing Vardy for diving was a courageous call.

I'd go so far as to say that the only one he should have called was the one he didn't.

That arm around Huth's neck was a terrible non-call. Absolutely awful. And the ref was looking right at it. Especially after the call on the other end earlier, how he doesn't have the balls to call an even more egregious and obvious foul is beyond me. I get he had told Morgan/Huth to cut it out, but West Ham was shoving equally on every free kick, and Huth was put in a clear choke hold.

Call at the end was weak and a clear make up call. Shouldn't have been needed. I thought this was actually a poorly officiated game, but most EPL games I've watched lately have been.

Vardy charged by the FA for verbally assaulting the ref after being sent off yesterday. He's already banned for the upcoming match against Swansea for the red, but this charge could also see him banned for the match against Man U if not more.

I wish soccer would adopt rugby rules when it comes to the refs. In a European rugby game, if you so much as sass the ref you get a single warning and then are sent off for a 2nd offense. The constant barrage of players surrounding the ref after every call/non-call is just as big a problem as diving IMO.

Diving and crowding the ref....that's what uefalona is all about.

How big is Moss' make up PK right now? I think its big enough to be the eventual decider of who takes the trophy. LC loses that match 2-1 and no Vardy for the next two and I think they feel such immense pressure that the Spurs end up taking it.

Definitely looming large. As a spurs fan, I can't even be that mad about it, because the officiating was so poor yesterday. The penalty call for West Ham was suspect, and it absolutely should have been called on the other end as well, so I think the game deserved to have ended in a tie.
