You're right. It's really just Long and Ream. But they scare me a lot such that I ignore the strong play of others.
Right now my preferred backline consists of John Brooks, yedlin, Zimmerman, Lima, and possibly ream. Miazga needs to pick it up to get into the lineup.
Miazga is better than any player in this backline. Ream is good but is a right footed center back playing left back for some reason. Put him in at center back over Long and Zimmerman.
Another example of the MLS agenda. Miazga would be starting if he played in MLS.
That isn't MLS agenda. That's a reality.
Miazga has a ton of talent but he hasn't been lights out in a US jersey in my eyes. Believe it or not, playing the game regularly actually helps you play the game better at any level, especially the international level.
