That might not be true in 3 years.
Except on the USMNT Yedlin is a MF.

My concerns for this team are:
1. Striker
2. The entire backline
However, big fan of Boyd.

You're right. It's really just Long and Ream. But they scare me a lot such that I ignore the strong play of others.
It is pretty scary, all these US media types talk up Long a lot, but I just haven't seen anything to warrant it. We know what Ream is, he's fine for a game like this but shouldnt be starting in a WCQ matchmrmill3218 said:Gordo14 said:PatAg said:You don't think ZImmerman has played well? I expect to see Richards at some point during qualifying break into the starting lineup as well. Some of these youngsters have too much quality to be denied, but will probably have to earn first team minutes with their clubs firstEntourageag07 said:Gordo14 said:PatAg said:You don't think ZImmerman has played well? Right now my preferred backline consists of John Brooks, yedlin, Zimmerman, Lima, and possibly ream. Miazga needs to pick it up to get into the lineup.

Doesnt Ream lack the athleticism to play that spot though?mrmill3218 said:Entourageag07 said:Gordo14 said:PatAg said:You don't think ZImmerman has played well? He's the one player hitting confident balls forward, strong in the airGordo14 said:

Miazga is better than any player in this backline. Ream is good but is a right footed center back playing left back for some reason. Put him in at center back over Long and Zimmerman.
I think Miazga shows a lot of potential but hes another struggling in his club situation the past year or two. GB seems to put a lot of emphasis on thatmrmill3218 said:Entourageag07 said:Gordo14 said:PatAg said:You don't think ZImmerman has played well? Intrigued by Dest. Would like to see him get some first team minutes with Ajax.
Maybe he's just always been unlucky to have bad games the times we have played him there. I dont know how well he played, but they got relegatedmrmill3218 said:PatAg said:Doesnt Ream lack the athleticism to play that spot though?mrmill3218 said:Entourageag07 said:Gordo14 said:PatAg said:You don't think ZImmerman has played well? If he can play it for a premier league team he can play it over a couple MLS all stars for the national team.

I expect to see Kellyn Acosta in the lineup next time we reconvene. Cant convince me that Bradley and Trapp are better options, and Acosta is still very young.
you'd like to hope that he has enough common sense to see Trapp just doesnt have it at the international level.mrmill3218 said:PatAg said:

I'm just praying that GB will actually play Adams at his position and stop all this Bradley Trapp nonsense.

Honest question: who would you put at left back?
(Do we have one?)

That isn't MLS agenda. That's a reality.
Miazga has a ton of talent but he hasn't been lights out in a US jersey in my eyes. Believe it or not, playing the game regularly actually helps you play the game better at any level, especially the international level.
