Really poor composure by France not able to capitalize with all the chances. Too desperate. Defense deserves a lot of credit, mid and offense didn't hold the ball much all. Defense held strong

Up 2-0 you can play conservative and counter attack. The 3rd goal validates that strategy. Letting the other team back in refutes that strategy. So that offsides changes a lot for me/

Mad props for their ability to stand tall late when it was clear they were gassed in what was essentially a highly supported road game.
Probably the highest quality women's match I have seen. Just a great great game.

Now don't piss it away by losing to England.

Stayed off the thread to just watch.

Man that was stout team defense for the US. Good win and now on the the next super hard matchup. England is playing well.

Making one pass then turning it over is not "being consevative". That led to France having alot of time and chances in the final 3rd. We were a bit lucky that they didnt convert a few of the more dangerous chances.

The back 4 playing very well and France not capitalizing on their opportunities is what kept the score 2-0. Not some "conservative" strategy.

So props to Ellis, she said France didn't like possession and preferred to counter, so we let them possess. Took away their strength.

They didn't have a shot in goal until 75th minute so her plan worked.

My nervousness over Dunn-Rapinoe was not needed today, so good on both of them.

Will be interesting to see if we come out with the same XI v England.
