2 PKs that anyone could have made. A lucky goal that went through 10 legs, poorly placed. And the last one that landed right in her lap? I give her the last one, that was a veteran shot...could have sailed that easily.
Where to begin... Ok.
1. As someone who missed a pk, subsequently lost a city championship game, lost a month's worth of sleep, and refused to take another pk for about 20 years, please tell me you've actually taken a pk in a game. There are few things in sports that carry that kind of pressure.
2. Rapinoe's free kick goal today was a thing of beauty. PERFECTLY placed. The outcome is precisely what happens when that kick is played so perfectly.
3. Glad you give her credit for the second goal. I have seen countless chances like that wasted in this wwc. As soon as that ball meandered toward an open Rapinoe, I knew it was a goal. Maybe Lloyd is the only other player you'd want more to be in that situation.
1. "tell me you've actually taken a pk in a game. " Wrong. And not only that. if you read what I said you would see i said i am glad she took the 2nd PK, and not Morgan. She buried it w/o getting cute, very mature.
2. I said that, but to say that no one else on the team could have done the same, at this level, is disingenuous at best.
3. Agree, but again, there are others that could have made that shot as well. At this level, several of them can.
