That game will bond and carry this team for years.

Look I know it's a pretty meaningless cup but to win that game was absolutely incredible. It a program changing win.

Our goal-scorers from tonight play for Chelsea, Juventus, and Dortmund. We had players on the pitch who play for Man City, Barca, etc. and they just won a trophy beating El Tri. Sure feels like a whole different era of US soccer is upon us, but we need more international matches like this to hopefully inspire future generations.

We need more to players to say screw the MLS and go play in Europe because that's where they get the experience and play against the best talent in the world.

I don't understand how the USSF let that go. Don't get me wrong, I loathe ESPN soccer production, USMNT should be available on all cable networks, not on some backwoods channel or behind a streaming paywall.

Loved that game so much!!

I also loved how it ripped Messico's heart out. They didn't deserve that make-up PK. Ball don't lie.

I also loved when they smacked their own players in the head trying to hit our guys with bottles. Trash gonna trash.

That was a really fun one!

There's a lot of USA-Mexico in my feeds this morning, but most of the "fans are a disgrace" tweets are because some England fans booed when the teams take a knee before kickoff.

I appreciate all you guys. My life is crazy right now and I couldn't watch or even DVR with the hope to watch later... but I decided to read this thread instead of looking up the score and watching highlights and it was nice to be able to relive the game through your eyes. Many thanks for all the comments - from knee-jerk emotions to very thoughtful commentary it was all nice to read this morning and much appreciated.

The game wasn't even listed in The Score app which is one of the better ones out there for covering all things soccer. Only reason I knew this was on was because I happened to be channel surfing and stumbled across it.

It's worth going back and watching it if you're bored and have a few hours.

We didn't play great, and we struggled to keep possession for stretches (I was having flashbacks of Bob Bradley's kickball at times), but it made it all that much better to beat the Turds to the South, by just grinding it out.

But be careful, you might lose your voice screaming at the TV

Yes, I thought their behavior was an absolute disgrace. The Mexican teams fans though, not Oursso I dont know why he thinks it made our country look bad, because another country's fans are trash (again)

Anyone catch the comment about Mexico players trying to tear up the pitch at the penalty spot while the Pulisic VAR was happening? Is this a normal thing or just more typical Mexico?
