Dempsey traveled to play with the Dallas Texans, which was one of the top clubs in North Texas (arguably the top).This was before FC Dallas had an academy. (Lee Nguyen and Omar Gonzales both played there)
Then Im pretty sure he went to play for Furman which was a top D1 men's program.

So not really anything like Agyemang, but he has a great story and I think he showed a lot of promise in that game. I want to see more from him.

Well the good news is he's never played for their youth teams and played for our u20 last year.

That's better than the other way around, but I feel like it's largely moot. If Germany comes calling and he's not cap-tied, he gone. It's unlikely they'd be interested in calling him up before 2026, but it's not impossible. Their 4th CB spot is pretty wide open.

Assuming he continues to get more minutes, I'd like to see him brought in for Gold Cup this summer. That seems like the best opportunity to lock him down.

Yeah, it all depends. He has virtually no shot to play in the 2026 WC for Germany, but has a chance for US.

And it takes forever to cap tie these kids.
