My big question is where you want to play Pulisic. For the US he's seemed more effective as a winger than a 10 (not sure where he's playing for Milan), but I don't know who that leaves centrally.

He's mostly a winger for Milan, but sometimes a 10. It's almost a moot point because he loves to cut inside so much… he plays like more of an inverted winger. And that makes things tricky for USMNT. He and Dest like to do similar things in attack, but that means they often occupy the same spaces, which limits chance creation. Or more often, CP just stays wide to try and let Dest cook, but that limits CP's creativity.

I think that's why we've often seen Pulisic employed on the left… Antonee will overlap him when he cuts inside… meanwhile on the other side, Weah will do the overlap while Dest cuts inside.

As far as the 10, Tillman is turning into a fine 10 and Aaronson can do it too. Gio as well of course if he ever gets out of the doghouse, but that seems unlikely.

Also, if both are healthy, I think having just Flo and Pepi up top as a double 9 could be a nice idea too. Flo seems like more of a 9.5 to me anyways.

We definitely need to play against mid to upper level Euro teams before the WC.

Against Turkey and Switzerland, we played a different formation and mostly different lineups.

Against Turkey (starters against Turkey not in lineup against Ecuador)
* Cardoso, Luna, McGlynn, Freeman and Agyemang

Against Switzerland (starters against Switzerland not in lineup against Ecuador)
* Turner, Zimmerman, Harriel, Berhalter, Cardoso, Aaronson, Aaronson, Sullivan, White

Forever? They shouldn't assume that the next coach is gonna be able to fill the MLS quota without this window.

But seriously, talk about a misleading headline. For those who haven't clicked yet, don't give those turds a view.

TLDR: They're moving the January "MLS" camp to December so it stays out of MLS club training windows. So the camp/concept still exists, it's just moving to a better time for MLS players.

TLDR: Red Bull is building an academy in New Jersey for RB New York, with the ultimate goal to get Americans to Leipzig.

I can respect the opinion that doesn't like global football entities like Red Bull, but like it or not, they exist and if more of them do this, then it's likely to be a good thing for US soccer.

It's almost like they listen to the criticism and the voice of the fan is determining the team.

Little surprised Banks was not called in. With Pulisic, Tilman, Weah and McKennie all out, makes sense to bring in Reyna to provide backup to the #10 role. Luna is lumped in with forwards and Aaronson isn't a #10.

I think letting him stay at the club is a good call… this time. He got benched after an atrocious performance against Leipzig, but then did ok against Dortmund last week. I think it's in everyone's best interest to have him try to solidify his starting spot at the club.

But I hope that happens, and I hope we see him in the March camp, and all others afterwards. We desperately need more CB depth.

Dude is 18. He didn't play in the last camp. I think keeping him at home isn't a bad choice.

There's a next gen of players that we're just not gonna see for the next 8-10 months because they're gonna be focused on the WC roster.

Banks could arguably be good enough to be useful now. Certainly as a 4th CB option.

He is defending against top Bundesliga clubs. Not doing particularly well at it yet but he started against Dortmund and their defense gave up a single goal (don't look at the Leipzig game, though).

As I said above, I agree this isn't the right window to bring him in, but if he's still a regular starter in the spring, he absolutely needs to be called in for the March window.

I can see that if he's getting regular minutes and playing well at that point. But a lot of the younger players probably just aren't ready at this point and that's totally ok.

That said, there's usually a young player or two on a WC roster that are going primarily just to get a taste of the competition for the future with no real plans to play them and he could totally fit into that slot.

Related, Cavan Sullivan gets the winner for the U17s in their first World Cup match vs Burkina Faso (though from the looks of this we got a bit lucky they didn't finish one of those chances). Next match tomorrow morning at 8:45 CST vs Tajikistan.
