Curious what we do at GK for the World Cup. I think it should be Turner but he's only going to have a few opportunities at playing time while the other guys (Steffen, Horvath) will be playing league games. Turner apparently didn't look great defending set pieces for Arsenal in their Europa League game.

We will see!

Turner has 6 Europa League/Carabou Cup matches before WC so he'll have more than just a few matches of action.

Half of those matches are against quality sides:
2 vs PSV
1 vs Brighton

Still not as many reps as Horvath but I think Turner is clearly on a higher tier than Horvath. You never know with Steffen wrt injuries. Also, not sure how much the 'Boro manager trust him so Steffen may not get as many starts as he could.

Unless Steffen or Horvath just go off in league play, it has to be Turner's job to lose right? Not playing is better than what Steffen or Horvath appear to be doing at the moment.

Turner has one nervy moment at the beginning of that match and then cruised the rest of the way.

Horvath will have more starts, but has always been behind Turner and Steffen. Steffen is currently injured and has looked bad enough for 'Boro that he's not the guaranteed starter.

Should be a good test for our defenders playing out of the back. If they are starting Maeda up top, I assume they'll press high. His speed/quickness and pressing ability are his calling card, but his finishing and technical ability aren't up to par.
