Downside of trying to sell Balogun to the USA. Would you rather play at legendary stadiums against teams like Italy or play on a **** goat field while getting hacked by Grenada

Darrel Texas City Dike looks slow. Pepi looked much better. Still 9 minutes left in the game for me, so Dike will probably score 3 after I post this.

Pulisic looked like a premier league player agaisnt these bozos.

I think you mean "sit on the bench at legendary stadiums against teams like Italy for the next 4 years".

As good as he is, he likely isn't going to be getting significant playing time for the England national team until he either establishes himself as a 1st team starter at a top 6 English club or Harry Kane gets old. The latter isn't likely to happen within the next 4 years and the former is extremely hard to do.

Exactly, the reason he is even considering playing for USMNT is because he doesn't even get a call up from England.

I missed the 2nd half, but it seemed like there was definitely a different vibe. In the past, our teams always seem to struggle to assert themselves on the road in CONCACAF - even against trash. Or perhaps especially against the trash.

Regardless of the massive difference in quality, this is the kind of game where we'd often see guys get so frustrated with the bad field and dumb fouls, that they end up walking around with no purpose on offense, and we struggle to score. The kind of game where we barely win or merely draw and most folks resign themselves to that and say "yeah that was just Grenada but no one realizes how hard it is to go on the road in CONCACAF."

Pulisic looked like a real leader out there, perhaps for the first time I've ever seen him (in trashy games). Very professional and no extended moping after dumb CONCACAFy fouls.

Back end needs some work, but overall that was good to see. We whipped them solidly in a game that barely matters by more than we did in Austin last year, when we were trying to prep for the WC.

Does a good result on Monday spell the final nail in ggg's coffin? I think he is already out, but the door is still slightly cracked open. Hard to judge anything off of subpar competition, but the team did look much better.
