(1) If you were to immigrate to another country, there would be no expectation you give up the USA as your #1 team. Its fine. (Edit--Okay, maybe not if you move to Iran)

(2) When we have our full strength roster, we're rolling out multiple dudes who have never lived in the USA. We're not well positioned as a team to get our dander up over this.

(3) As to all the Mexico fans who were born and live in the USA, is this your first USA-Mexico match?

Personal identity and culture are a lot deeper and more complex than just defaulting to the identity of the place you happen to live. If you were born and raised in Texas and then moved to New York City, does that automatically mean that you should identify and love New York more? Do you have to start rooting for the Yankees when they play the Astros? What if you were born and raised in New York City but your dad was an Astros diehard because he was born and raised in Houston and moved to New York in his 20s? Are we going to chastise the kid who became an Astros fan because his father's fandom influenced him?

A very bizarre moral code to apply in my opinion.

Anyway, sounds like the game was as ****astic as what one might expect.

It's a little different when the teams are wearing your country's flags on their chest. They are representing the American people. The Astros aren't representing the Houston people. But we'll just agree to disagree
