It looked like straight down onto the line for me. But the only angle i saw was behind the taker.

Really impressed by Cowell. We'll be seeing a lot of that dude in usmnt rostered for a few years

Be glad he chose us over Mexico...that dude would have been annoying as hell to face in an El Tri kit

Matches against neighbors Mexico and Canada are definitely time well spent.

Can't underestimate the value of a keeper who can make the opponents feel like they have to risk going top bins

Arsenal's #1 keeper might start feeling some heat from his backup brass balls Turner

Still think Arteta ****ed up in not playing Turner in the Europa League knockouts. Ramsdale is not a good PK stopper

I predict this B squad dominates Panama almost as much as they just dominated Canada's B squad. Just need some better luck.

Neal at LCB had a rough outing tonight. Jones at LB was very up and down, some holy **** moments and some great moments like the assist. Mihalivich and Busio had rough starts before they got going, but probably the best options on this roster. Cowell and Vazquez demand more attention and starting consideration. Gressell probably the least impressive starter and played far too many minutes into the match.

I truly believe that had a lot to do with Canada's weak and lame attempts. I wasn't impressed with any of their PKs…

I won't bust his chops because he worked his ass off today, but this is pretty funny.

Guy was playing like 5 different positions at the same time once Vazquez came on.

That's what I was talking about earlier in the thread before the game started. Univision has some really entertaining pregame…

gressel and Zendejas on the wing don't help Jesus. Also, when we subbed Vazquez on at #9 and Jesus moved back in the formation, we started playing more direct and were a lot more dangerous.

Slightly estimating a couple of numbers, I could say that the difference between hitting the underside of the bar (and going in) and hitting dead center of the front of the bar is about 1.4 degrees.

This is going to be a great precal question next time I teach it.

Assuming no curvature of the crossbar I get 18'56". That also assumes the ball is a single point. Now I'm going to spend all night figuring it with the crossbar being round and the ball being an actual soccer ball.

Sands has played some CB and some 6 for the Sr national team over the past two years. Has had some "meh" moments in that span, but you have to like the versatility.

However, I have to say, he was a very good 6 today. Quick-footed and quick decision-making, very accurate passing and knowing when to one-touch and negative pass to keep possession and switch the field while keeping in mind, with good turns and touches, when to advance and break lines. I feel like usmnt went from just Bradley to just Tyler Adams for so long, but we finally have a really good second 6 behind Adams going forward.

Also reminder: if cavillini had been rightfully sent off with his intentional studs up dangerous foul play / unsporting behavior around the 40th minute, that game never would have come down to extra time and pens

Looks like depending on where you look, the US xG was around 2.85 and Canadas was .95 (of which about .74 came from the penalty in the 93rd minute).

So the US outplayed them but got unlucky it even went to penalties.

I had 17.1 degrees for underside and 18.5 degrees for square on the face of the bar.

Edit: geometry, man. Trigonometric ratios of a right triangle, lol.

If he can ever add some technical ability to it, he will be a very scary super sub.

One of ours said something one of theirs didn't like so then one of theirs tried to go after one of ours.

Sore losers/sore winners. I like it.

This was definitely at half time. Not after the game. The little ginger Canuck that scored is still in his sub top/penny

Yep. Too many giveaways...but he also makes some great passes. Once he learns not to force it, he'll be an exciting option for longer stretches

In general we had too many cheap giveaways in the midfield that will get punished playing tougher opponents.

Good catch.

Even better.
