Please can we just not start either winger, the LB, and find a way to get Ferreira and Vazquez on the pitch together. Please. I will even accept a 4-4-2 if we must.

I'm wondering if you play a 4-2-3-1 with Vasquez up top and Fereirra in the middle of the line of 3 with Sands and Busio playing the tandem?

I like that too.. but Ferreira looked a little lost towards the end when he was in the midfield.

True, that goal in extra time was due to him not taking the tactical foul. However, if he's playing centrally in the midfield, he's less likely to be exposed like that.

He was playing so far out of position and comfort zone at the end he probably had no clue what he was supposed to do.

i want Ferreira, Vasquez, and Cowell on the field together. I know Cowell is lacking in the technical skills. But, Panama play with those speedy wingbacks. So, you negate that with Cowell's speed.

At points he was tracking back as a 6. That's where he was was when he let that kid go at Miazga.

I had assumed Jesus must have been sitting on a yellow and decided to not foul last second, but I went and looked and he wasnt. He was also not in danger of suspension for the next game from what I can tell, and there was no chance he would have been given anything other than a yellow.
Its the sort of play you DO make when you are regularly getting midfield reps, which he no longer does. Or if you are just a little bit smarter/better.

I do think Reynolds got fouled from behind on the initial turnover, but thats a dangerous game to play to just rely on the ref calling a foul when you play to slow.
I also dont want to give Miazga a free pass, because he just gave up 25-30 yards of ground and was slow to challenge the shot. But he was put in a tough spot

even though CAN's second goal deflected off Miazga's calf, he was put in a really tough defensive recovery run by that give away by Jones. If Miazga had tried to get closer and dove in, he would have been toast and Turner would have a 1v1 with the canadian mullet. Neal and Long were worse CB options with worse decision making than Miazga last Sunday. Neal might be the future, but I think Miazga probably needs to start with Miles Robinson on this roster for this match. Miles had only been cleared to go full 90 on Sunday and that's why he was subbed in extra time. I hope by now he's ready to go 120 if necessary.

I think the stands will be thin primarily because it is a double header with Mexico playing after us, so the Mexican fans who buy up the seats will probably be tailgating for most of our game.

the two semis are not in the same stadium. USA-PAN is in San Diego and MEX-JAM is in Las Vegas.

I'm in pacific time right now and will likely still be at work when this match starts.

Oh. Ok. I always travel with my Roku.

I've just set my tv service to always record USMNT matches so I don't have to worry about recording individual matches.
