I really think the team is missing the press from Jesus at the point, cuz Vasquez is just not involved at all in that aspect.
We've looked good attacking, and could have scored a few times
But when the CBs are given free reign AND the midfielders are often receiving the ball under no pressure as well, it just spells disaster

Panama showed up. We look completely outclassed in terms of technical ability. Barely able to connect passes. Playing so narrow that Panama has 20 yards of width on either side of the field. Their wing backs have complete control. Ball goes to one side and we all follow it. Then they switch quickly and move forward while we're grasping at straws

I had a feeling this might happen if we tried to run out Jesus in a spot that isn't striker. When he's done that for fc Dallas he has an interesting concept of positional discipline, lol
We seem to struggle often vs formations like this. Can we play more direct and more long balls and exhaust their wingbacks if we can't break lines with short passes vs a crowded midfield?

Yea, we started the first 10-15 being deadly in combination in transition. Then after that it was like they never really had any idea where their teammates would be at any given time

This is actually a game that would not be the worst to bring Roldan in for. He knows how to stay organized and play the system , regardless of his other weaknesses.
