I think they're exhausted. They played 3-4 years at an insane intensity level. Coupled with losing the best player in the world and some aging in key players and there was inevitably going to be a drop off. More on Olabe, his tendencies and how that may impact Arsenal. For those that dont want to read the article.... Claims he is really big on development of the academy and bringing in transfers to supplement and that when he does buy players he prefers to buy young. That could be because of the team he worked for or the reason he did work for them. Would also fit the rumors of KSE wanting to get the club to the point where it is effectively self-funded. I am perfectly ok with that model as long as we can remain competitive.
