There's some good, for sure, but also I think they need to revise.

It's very complicated. Part of why I'm wasting my time with these write ups is so I can understand the damned thing.

It's very hard as a fan to keep track of a 36 team table. I'd like to see them split it in half. They could then ensure that there's no repeat games in the knockout because they could make it cross-table.

Also (and independent of my idea above) I agree with wangus' comments on the Arsenal thread. This half-measure compromise of using seeds but pairing them and still having a "draw" (really they could just flip a coin) is dumb. Do one or the other… either go straight seed where 9 plays 24, 10 plays 23 etc… or draw a line and put 9-16 in one pot and 17-24 in another and do an old school draw where you can ensure that there's no repeat games and none from the same country. I'd honestly prefer the latter for the reason of ensuring some teams don't play each other, but I'd appreciate a straight draw too… this middle ground we have now is dumb though.
I will agree to the seeding for knockout rounds. Just do a straight seed, no draw

Some people on the WTF show also mentioned to sweeten the stakes by making knockout games a 1 game, with the higher seed hosting and do away with the home/home 2 match format

I like idea that a lot.

I also wish FIFA/UEFA would adopt the double-elimination tournament. To me, it'd be really cool to see the rounds of 16 and 8 replaced by a double-elimination tourney where best seeds get home field advantage in the first two matches and then the winner's bracket gets home advantage afterwards. Worst case a team plays 4 matches like they already would. Best case, a good team rolls through in 3 games and therefore gets valuable rest.

You know this isn't even close to being accurate when the team that has conceded 1 goal, Inter, doesn't have a GK or a defender in. Real Madrid conceded 12 goals!! Neither top scorer makes an appearance either? And the team at the top of the table has 0 players?! GTFO with this sh*t.
