I think he lives up in Mass. where the women dominate. Quit watching all those warrior chick flicks.

Having played the A&M women's team at the rec when I was in school

I agree that a 5A team would win pretty easily, PRIMARILY because of the size and strength

You might as well throw 4A in there, too. Nearly all of the inner city schools are 4A. Most NBA players that are originally from Texas played high school ball at a school that is now 4A.

I think the problem with WNBA players is they let all the stardom and fame get to their heads and don't focus on the game, having tens of fans getting somewhat rowdy and slightly entertained in the stands, having to sign so many autograpH after the games, making thousands of dollars a year, being on tv every other season, ridin dirty in their Jeep Grand Cherokees etc

Take a good high school like 5A Oak Cliff 2006, and compare them to the greatest WNBA players of all time on the same team.

Oak Cliff's front court went:
Center: JMison Morgan 6'10" 275
PowerF: Darrell Arthur 6'9" 220
PowerF: Kevin Rogers 6'9" 220

The WNBA team could have Lisa Leslie, the WNBA All-Stars and 20 points.

Oak Cliff would win. There's not a girl on earth that would hold down those three guys in the paint. The women's PF and C's would get tossed around like rag dolls. The men would have 20 blocks on the game. Morgan's 275 pounds would be too much to handle. Kevin Rogers could dunk an 11 foot goal in high school with two hands, and you think a women would stop him in the post?

Women's basketball is growing, but it is not on the same planet as the men's game. The strength factor alone would make the game a non-contest.

Not that it matters, but South Oak Cliff won the 4A title in 2006.

I would agree the boys would win... as a freshman, albeit at a 4A school, we scrimmaged our varsity girls before their playoffs. We won by 13. They made their championship game, only to lose to Ft. Worth - Dunbar. We had won 3 games all year long at the freshman level, so that kinda shows how bad we actually were. Their defense was decent, but they just weren't good enough in transition.

For context, I was a bad HS player, but developed in college a pretty decent game. At 6'1" (195 lbs), I could dunk pretty easily, defend, dribble and shoot well enough to spend my time at the Rec on the A court.

Honestly and removing any humility to answer this question, it's an easy answer.

I played on numerous occassions against the Aggie women and had no trouble at all defending guard to center. Without hesitation, I would have been the leading scorer and rebounder on the womens team. IMO, any of the top five teams in SA, Dallas or Houston would win against a WNBA team. Almost any of the teams in 3A, 4A or 5A at the state tourney would win.
