The thunder have 2 fastbreak points, westbrook is 1-5 for 3 points, and has 3 turnovers.

kobe is doing a FANTASTIC job on him. what a great adjustment.

he hasn't even guarded him the whole time. i'm talking strictly off the dribble. he's beaten kobe to the bucket several times, only to be thwarted by your bigs.

he's also cut him off several times on the fast break, whereas in OKC he got what he wanted.

hard to get fast break points running off makes...we're not the freaking suns here

he did a nice job on that one break they replayed.

Basketball is still basketball, and the Lakers are still the lakers. Complacency in games they don't have to win is like the MO of the franchise.

This is a disaster for the Thunder because Kobe is getting a quarter and a half off and there's a two day break.

and phil was STILL hesitant. he's more worried about "saving" kobe from himself, and managing his minutes. which, a lot of the times is true. but sometimes kobe is just right and you need to get out of his way and let him do what he wants. and it worked. westbrook got shut down.

ABOUT TIME on the Kobe on Westbrook assignment...was wondering that aloud in Game 3. Even if Kobe can't contain him completely, he will harass him much longer than Fisher can to let the bigs rotate over...and thank you Ron Ron for shaving your head and finally bringing your offensive game.

can't wait to see what the crowd is like in OKC. is this series going to be exactly like the 2009 semis for the lakers? in game 6 they laid an egg and lost 95-80 to the rockets, and it wasn't even that close.

scotty brooks was on jim rome yesterday getting some karma.

hopefully the 2 days rest will be enough for kobe to guard westbrook again. the lakers backcourt is just awful on the defensive end. and shannon brown is the lakers best option on westbrook other than kobe due to his size, but he's been a nightmare on the offensive end.


game 5 should be the exact same plan. force feed bynum and gasol, kobe distributes, and artest needs to hit some spot up 3's and continue to do a great job on durant. the lakers need to shoot under 20 3's. they actually won the fastbreak battle last game because they only shot 14 3's and 54% overall, and OKC had to take the ball out of the basket.

game 5...lakers shot 22 3's and 42% overall and go murdered on the fast break.


the lakers are already making excuses that they have a cold spreading around the team as they arrived in OKC

Maybe they shouldn't leave so many 3 point shots there for the taking.

Pau Gasol has also had a terrible game, so that sort of balances out their 3 point shooting.

this is simply not true. the majority of durants FT's have been outside of the paint. in fact, he's gotten only 6 FT's that i saw from inside the paint.
