I hate Boston but I can't wait to see his whiny ass walk off the court again without shaking anybody's hand.

I would love nothing more than to see Lebron turn into the next Dirk (although highly unlikely).

But I agree with Simmons and Barkley, he's not in the club of the best yet and doesn't deserve to be.

I don't know why, but I just don't like Lebron. I like Kobe though even though I hate the Lakers. Maybe it's just me but Lebron rubs me the wrong way.

Wow....I 100% disagree. I love LeBron. Sucks for him that he plays for such a terrible organization. If he had Kobe's cast, they would be going for their 3rd straight NBA championship this season. When has LeBron ever been whiny?

There is a difference between whining and being upset because you lost a game 7. I wouldn't expect you to understand that though, given some of your posts on this thread alone. Pretty sure he later apologized for his behavior, as well as gave an explanation.

I think it's awesome that everybody wanted to annoint Lebron as the best player of alltime and now he doesn't appear to have "it" when the going gets tough.

what did he have the year they took down Detroit with one of the greatest playoff performances in history, and he made his way to the finals with one of the weakest NBA finals teams of all time?

I'm not a LBJ fan, but he's receiving way too much criticism for this last loss.

However, I also feel that his supporting cast the last two years were good enough to get them the most wins in the league, so they can't be too bad.

I think Cleveland wins tonight and we get a game 7 in Cleveland.

You can't say that LeBron has a team of scrubs, because they have put together one of the greatest 2 year regular season runs in NBA History. A top 3 superstar surrounded by scrubs is DWade this year or Kobe 2005-2007. Unless this is some major historical oddity, the Cavs the past 2 years proved in the regular season that they were good enough to win the title.

There has only ever been one superstar to win a championship surrounded by nothing but average role players and that's Hakeem. The only reason he was able to do this is because he was a center and was able to control the paint on both sides of the floor.

It's significantly harder to do that when you're a guard or small forward because you can't control the inside.

That's a valid point that helps explain a little how this team fails in the playoffs while dominating the regular season (add 2003 Duncan to the list with Hakeem)...however,

-Rules have changed since 2005 that do allow perimeter players to dominate the paint to an extent. The new rules were made for guys like LeBron and Wade to get into the paint at will.

-Jordan heard the same thing about not having a legit center. Pippen was obviously the difference, but he didn't help control the paint like a center would. The past 2 years LeBron has had adequate perimeter shooter/scorers, and Varejao was named All-Defense. The Cavs have been an elite defensive team, on par statistically with those early 90's Bulls.
