I'd like to see simple, mass and judge all thrown out. Then this thread would actually have some meaningful conversation.

Sorry if I had a short fuse but it seems to me that there are too many people around here that can't have a difference of opinion without calling somebody a "dumbass" or worse.

If this judge character had pointed out flaws in my reasoning without getting personal you'd have seen a different vine of thought from me. That being said, I apologize for participating in the derailment and I promise to be on my best behavior from here on out.

Judge gets personal a lot. I may be idiotic, but i'm never stupid enough to try get personal like most of the "fans" on here. texags is not real life.

And the Bulls will lose in the Finals to the Lakers, game 7, at united center, where Phil gets crowned the XII lid in front of vomiting Chicago fans, Kobe ties Jordan with title #6 and 3peat #2, Playboy pictures of Jeanie Buss circa 1995 fall from the rafters, and the angry mob storms out of the arena and rips down Jordan's statute and erect the statute of the newest "best nba player ever" Kobe Bryant.

Would not vote for Dirk but; his numbers are very solid when you look at min.... only 34 per game which is 3-4 min less than the others (except Kobe).... that is 10% less.

While the Bulls D is great, this writer must not be watching a lot of Bulls games. He must just study numbers. The defense keeps them in games until Rose takes over and wins them for the team. Just look at the game against the Bucks the other night. The Bulls were losing the whole game until DRose took control of the game and led the Bulls to an easy win. This is just one example of why he is the MVP.

You're probably right, but the gap is not as big as people think between Durant and Westbrook's value to the Thunder.

And thus will be Russell's legacy with the Thunder, always living under Durant's shadow. I just hope he doesn't get tired of it and jet somewhere else.

Noah is great, but if you question who the best player is on the Bulls you don't know basketball.

I'm beginning to think it's LeBron...although everyone knows Rose will win it.

These things are decided by the media before the season ends, and I think Rose has it wrapped up.

Both are very deserving, but LeBron is putting up great numbers and his PER is way higher than Rose.

I wouldn't have an issue with either, but I think all the off the court stuff with the decision and the fallout from it will keep Lebron from winning the award.

Does anyone here actually think the NBA puts anymore thought into this other than "who is a great player that we can market the most to make more money for the NBA"?

The Bulls have a 4 game lead over both Boston & Miami with 4 games left to play. They are undefeated against the Heat, so one Celtics loss or Bulls win and they clinch the 1 seed in the East. They also have a 3 game lead over the Lakers for the second best record in the NBA so as long as the Spurs don't make the Finals, Chicago will have homecourt throughout the playoffs.
