I don't like Cuban.

Jordan never won a legit title because he didn't have to play against Jordan.

Spurs fan. While I wouldn't wee on Cuban or Terry to put them out if they were on fire, I like the rest of the bunch (particularly J. Kidd, Diggler, Butler and Barrea).

The argument is hardly asinine, and the Rockets weren't the "best" team either year -- they were taken to a full series 4 times in those 2 years, while the Bulls were taken to a full series only TWICE in their 6 championship years that bookended.

Houston made it through the playoffs and won well deserved championships that DO NOT require an asterisk (you play with whatever roster you have and whatever roster your opponent has).

However, don't pretend that if Jordan had been there full time the Bulls would not have won.

I always like statements like these when it comes to sports and 'pretending'... only to be backed up by a pretend assertion in itself.

Re: this year. I'd like to see the Heat take it down because:

1. If you think the attention on them will be bad if they win, it pales in comparison to it being a top story all season and playoffs next year if they lose.

2. The NBA is better with a really hated team and dynasties... the Heat have a way better chance at being both of those things (they are already hated) than the Mavs do.

So, the Rockets weren't the best team the years they won it because they were taken to a full series THAT THEY WON?!?! What crazy ass logic is that?? Are you saying that the teams that they beat in those series were better than teh Rockets?

Come on Tomlin, I know you personally and I know you secretly love the Heat. Not to mention your a pretty big Houston Homer. It's cool I'll be rooting on my Mavs all the way to the ship. The Avenge '06 boys will take care of busines this time...as long as Stern doesn't have his refs calling touch falls on D-Wade!!!!

If it were anyone but the heat, i would not cheer for the rockets or spurs if they were in the mavs place. I understand the universal hate for that group of ass-clowns so I would definitely cheer for either of them.

I will be rooting for the Heat. I would just enjoy seeing Cuban all upset once again.

Plus, I enjoy the fact that the Mavs are the only team in the state without a title.

Spurs fan, and I'd be torn.

On one hand, I don't mind Cuban and Dirk is a good guy. I HATE Jason Terry with a passion. He is a punk, and I never want to see him win anything.

On the other hand, I'd like to see Lebron get screwed over for at least a few years before they finally win a championship. Don't mind Wade. Bosh is meh. Their scrubs are meh.

I completely agree on Terry. I would throw Kidd in there as well given that he beat his wife about 10 years ago. I can't stand either of those two guys.

Really don't care either way, but it will be hilarious watching the whiniest fan base in sports complain about all the calls that Lebron and Wade will get.

Just because of this post I hope the mavs choke yet another year.
