Wow. Heat are making this look like an exhibition game against scrubs. LBJ and Wade are making a statement. Guess the Heat are indeed the consensus favorites to win it all this year.

Mavs have no energy whatsoever. Satisfied with the one championship.

Of course they are the favorites. There are only a handful of teams that will be able to complete with their firepower.

Why did Odom get thrown out?

One and done...signing Carter and Odom after losing Chandler and Barea was not the answer to repeat. Not expecting much from this 2012 team. Assuming things are being setup for the 2012-2013 season (Howard).

I assume you saw the charge but after that I didn't see what he did either. Probably mouthed off to the ref since he just stared at him after being tossed.

I love the first game of the season. 1 game and the heat are world champs and the mavs are done. New players take time to gel. No the mavs aren't as good as last year, but could still do some damage in the playoffs.

i thought that was the rallying cry of mavs fans the last decade? best regular team in the nba since 2000 because they won a trillion regular season games, while the spurs, lakers, pistons, heat won titles before you won one last year?

Seriously the sky is not falling guys. Yes Heat bashed us today, but this was a set-up game if I ever saw one. Banner raising motivated the Heat while it drained the Mavs. Also the shirt pre-season favored the athletic, unchanged team. Trust in Carlisle. He knows what he's doing.

Mavs won't repeat without Chandler, but that banner still looks pretty sweet.

Yes...I did compare. I didn't say they would be a bad team or wouldn't make the playoffs. You are kidding yourself if you think the Mavs did enough in the off season to repeat this year.

There is a reason why Cuban cleared so many players out...just waiting to see what that is.

Chandler was the biggest loss and this game showed it. Miami 51 Dallas 31 Rebounds.

Dallas got theirs. But Vince Carter is way out of his prime. Odom needs to start. Still pissed he got dealt.

Mavs could never get 'their' game going. Hakeem the Dream taught King James a thing or two about post work.

It should be noted that most of the additions the Heat had didn't play that big of a role in this game. As well as the Mavs. But the players lost from the Mavs can obviously be stated as the bigger loss.

If odom wants to start, he is going to have to figure out how to play with our lineup.

Good to see the opener against Miami wasn't a fluke as Dallas is only down 27 at the half to Denver.

They looked pretty terrible in pre-season ball as well.
