Rocket fans have been lulled to such boredom with this team that we have some who are excited by legit 6th/7th men, undersized guards in playing in China and Eurospects.

Let's face it, Morey's average and if it weren't for the fact that Michael Lewis wrote his article and Bill Simmons didn't have wood for him, he'd be thought of by fans and media as on par with the GM's of teams like the Suns, Bucks, or Sixers.

Quite possibly the most talked about below average GM in sports

Morey is a very very good GM. His competence is the only thing that kept the Rockets contending for the playoffs despite losing 2 legitimate star players in McGrady and Yao. But that in turn has left them stuck in the middle of the pack, not good enough to lure a star FA, and not drafting high enough to get a star via the draft.

I have never understood where this Morey love fest has come from. The guy has made one or two decent trades but overall has made very questionable FA signings and made a ton of trades that have done nothing but accumulate crap that we turnaround and trade for crap. He's an absolute bust of a GM. I work for the rockets (part time now) and every one in the organization I know feels the same way. It's like he's this most heralded GM without a leg to stand on. He's earned nothing to me.

What questionable free agent signings? He's taken some risky moves for sure, but he never gave up anything of true value. He just got a serviceable defensive big for Johnny Flynn and a 1st rounder for Jordan freaking Hill. He always comes out ahead in the trades he makes. His hit ratio on draft picks is incredible.

I know Rockets' fans are frustrated with the inability to land a star, but that stems from Les believing they're closer to contending for a championship than they truly are. They needed to accept rebuilding a long time ago. Hopefully they do that next year and start Morris, Moteijunas, and hopefully trade up high in the draft with their 3 first rounders plus Scola, Martin, and whoever else it takes. The sooner they accept rebuilding, the better.

He struck gold with Parsons, Morris has looked awful each time I've seen him. He's too small to be a 4 and not athletic enough to be a 3. The Ariza signing was terrible, we overpaid for an average Dalembert. I could go on and will when I have time. If he were smart he would trade Lowry and the 2 first rounders for a top 5-8 pick this year and sign Dragic to a long term deal. A big knock on Morey is he hangs on to some guys past their highest selling point and for a team in our position is something you can not do. I COMPLETELY understand the uphill battle with Les, trust me. Point is I think they're are better options out that besides Billy Beane Jr.

Finally got back in the win column, although it was a very unimpressive victory over the lowly Warriors. Nonetheless, a win is a win, and we desperately needed a win.

We need the Jazz to lose tonight. It sucks that we don't have the tiebreaker with any of these teams, but that's what happens when you sh*t the bed and lose 6 straight.

Also, I just saw that D-Wade dislocated his finger tonight against Washington. Maybe if he sits out against us we might have a fighters chance of winning in Miami.

Ariza was a bust, but morey flipped him for courtney lee, so its hard to count that total transaction as anything other than neutral-to-positive

Re: dalembert...overpaying for bigs is just part of life in the NBA. there probably isn't a roster in the NBA that doesn't have at least on C making more than he is worth
