Hometown guys are a little biased, as they should be. I've watched a number of hometown crews, and the Rockets crew is the only one I've noticed being very bad (and you would be hard pressed to find a team I'm more apathetic about than Houston... maybe Toronto). The few times I've watched them they would virtually ignore a posterizing dunk if it's the other team, but if the Rockets get a layup off a slow rotation they need a towel for cleanup. I've heard them say that the Rockets PG "lost the ball" when he actually got his shot stuffed. No mention of a block at any point. That's just bad.
I don't mind all the "we" and "our guys" type stuff; after all, a lot of the local announcers are former players. They can still call the game as it happens.
