Just read this article, that is three minutes of wasted time, ridiculous article written by someone who has a very rudimentary knowledge of san antonio.

#5. Gregg Popolzitz

San Antonio is the #37 media market
quote:
San Antonio is #25 according to the 2010 census.
I wonder just how much larger the area has to grow to lose the "small market" moniker
quote:
Bigger than 25th. There are only 30 teams in the league.

That article actually angered me, in that I just wasted 3 minutes reading that piece of drivel. And that's coming from a Mavs fan who hates the Spurs.
San Antonio will be just fine. The guy makes the Spurs out to be a team that just happened upon success and has maintained it through a series of role players. The fact of the matter is guys with the skillsets of Bowen, Neal, Hill, etc are a dime a dozen in any given year. And yet, the Spurs somehow almost always find the guys that fit their system and philosophy almost perfectly. That's no coincidence. The reality of things is that even though San Antonio may be a small market, they have one of the best front offices, coaching staffs, and loyal fan bases in the NBA. The players will always come and go. The intangibles of the Spurs organization will help ensure their relevance for years to come.

san antonio is the 7th largest city in the US
it's not a small market
Oklahoma City = Small Market
