Every home team held serve for the first game. Other than the Denver/GS game, the first round has been a let down. And even that one is going to be bad now with Lee out.
quote:And Chicago blows. Not sure why a lot of people were picking them in the series over Brooklyn.
I didn't realize how badly Noah was hurt. Their defense collapses without him, Boozer was escorting players to the basket all night. Hard to grind out wins with the heart of your defense ripped out.
Really a disappointing first set of games, and Memphis was probably the most disappointing.
I'm going to predict 3 road teams win a game 2. It's just something about NBA teams coming back after blowouts...maybe the home team relaxes or maybe the NBA refs realize that 8 sweeps in the first round (or 5 game series) doesn't make for interesting basketball (cynical perspective).
The first set of games was disappointing, but that doesn't mean every single game is disappointing. The Denver game was outstanding, but now with Faried coming back, and Lee on the shelf, it could get ugly.
All 8 home teams won, 6 by double digits, 3 by 20 or more points.
I'm guessing that 3 of the Game 2s have a visiting team win. Surely these blowouts won't be repeated.
went to the nets/bulls game. It's incredible how stupid PJ carlesimo is. Why would you leave brook lopez on the bench for most of the third quarter when chicago made a run against kris humphries? idiot
