Anyone know how to look up stats by quarter? Probably a dumb question I know.

We scored 17 and 22 in the 1st and 3rd quarters. 28 and 29 in the 2nd and 4th. -2, +8, 0, and +7 differential by quarter. First game, but seems pretty clear that we were better when Asik and Howard were not on the court together.

Dwight and Asik go for 40 rebounds combined.

I'll root for Howard to get 20pts 15rebs and 3blks every game. But that doesn't mean I have to like him.

Chandler Bang probably came from that gayass Matt Bullard. I wish we can bring Calvin back to replace those two clowns - Bullard and Drexler.

So much for the theory that he was a cancer on the lakers last year. I think the real cancer was the guy who shot 30 times per game, despite being a shell of his old self.

No powerforward got minutes tonight.

I couldn't watch but it sounds like:

1. Beverley left early with an hip injury and didn't return
2. Lin left with a cut chin in the first
3. Harden left earliest in the first, but returned later -- having some sore back issues
4. Howard was an animal
5. Asik and Howard owned the boards together, but rotations weren't crisp on defense
6. Harden started the game cold, finished hot
7. Lin stepped up and played a great, efficient game
8. Parsons was the Parsons we are used to
9. Garcia will be a great steadying force from the bench
10. Casspi is going to play a lot of minutes in that stretch-4 role and might start some games in place of Asik at PF. I'd personally like to play either him or Asik depending on matchups.

And Lin was hobbling late in the 4th. Parsons was not the parsons we are used to. Other than that yes you are correct

What was wrong with Parsons? Sounded like he injected energy in the team when we were lacking with a couple big jams and put backs. I know his 3-ball was a little off, but just seemed like Ackerman had a lot of good things to say about him.

Need the 3 to fall. I was too critical.

Parsons and Harden, at least until the 4th, just couldn't seem to get the shots to fall and finding lanes.

I wish they would fire all of the announcing crew. They're ****ing insufferable

After suffering through more than a hundred astros losses wrap-up shows often at midnight, Matt Thomas gets the privilege of doing the Rockets after-game radio. And its awesome as usual.

Chandler Bang was a fan vote. Bullard's original nickname for Parsons was CP Slammer (also terrible) because he had a month run where he was throwing down putback dunks all over people. Blake Griffin included.

A few observations:
1) Bobcats played tough and refs let alot of contact go through the game.
2) Parsons played poorly on both ends. Harden looked out of sync on offense but defensively looked alot better than last year.
3) Lin and Beverly both played very well.
4) Howard and Asik do not know how to play together yet, but were still effective. Given time, it can work.
5) Howard was not happy with the defensive rotations or ball movement on offense. He got on a few people. All of it was deserved, but I think the ceiling of this team depends on how they handle that criticism from him. If it fuels them to work harder and get it fixed, we are in for a special year. If not, this will not end well.
6) Howard is healthy and wants to win and prove the critics wrong.
7) Caspi is a much better and more complete player than I thought when we signed him.
8) The team came out flat. Didn't get in the paint or out on the fast break. They lose this game last year, this year they won by double digits. This is a very good team and much tougher than last years squad.

Bullard is the only decent guy on the crew. Worrell and Drexler are f***ing horrible.

Parsons played much better defense than Harden. We had to take Harden off Gerald freaking Henderson.

Harden looked stiff. And both guys struggled with the lack of space in the lane when both Dwight and Asik were out there.

Bullard is the best Houston pro sports media guy with Jim Deshaies gone to the Cubs. Calvin Murphy is the clown, although I'd like to see a three-man booth of him, Dave South and Magic Johnson some time.

I don't mind Bullard's basketball analysis. But he tries too hard to be funny. He thinks he is a Sportscenter personality.
