Agreed. He actually incorporates some basketball knowledge in his commentary, which allows me to enjoy the times he tries to be funny. It's ok to be corny at times if you're gonna add some value to the actual game the majority if the time. Drexler for all of his time as a great NBA player, doesn't seem to add fluent enough in-game analysis for my liking. It comes off as more rudimentary than what Bullard provides.

It's sad that when I hear the name Clyde Drexler, I think of a ****ty announcer instead of a hall of fame basketball player

Bill and Calvin were the best together. Great chemistry. Clyde, although still terrible, has improved A LOT. He was an abomination his first season. Bullard is good, not great.

Still a fan of Bill despite the nicknames. He has a fantastic voice.

A few observations from the game last night

1) Howard is definitely a big upgrade over Asik
2) I know its only one game but having Howard & Asik on the floor at the same time didn't seem to work out very well
3) ^ I would love it if we had a true #4 that was starter quality so Asik would come off the bench
4) Garcia is a SHOOTER. That guy just always seems to bail us out with big shots, especially since our starters played like crap offensively for most of the game
5) The H still loves T-Mac....aside from the Howard intro Tracy got the loudest standing ovation last night
6) Howard was chatting it up with fans and toyota center workers, and at the end of the game he threw his headband, wristbands, and jersey into the crowd. He appears to be quite happy to be here and out of LA. He addressed the crowd last night before the National Anthem and gave a pretty good speech about season expectations.
7) After the game ended, Howard was about to give his post-game interview....the lady interviewing him held up a mic with CSN Houston on it, which the camera guy got a good shot of....everyone around started booing! It was glorious!

I didn't like the Linkin Park part of the intro, but when they dropped Kanye into it the place was electric....thought it was interesting they announced Howard first

They did this **** last year and none of the carriers would agree to it. And why would they? Customers would be furious at the providers when the free trial is up and they lose all bargaining power

Its strange to me that so many people have taken the side of the cable carriers in this thing. They've made stupid mistakes and have inconsistent positions as well. They paid for foxsports without ensuring future rights to Houston teams. So while it is fair for them to claim that CSN should be on their sports tier only, why are houstonians paying for Dallas Ranger games right now? Shouldn't they get a choice and shouldn't they be saving everyone money by putting foxsports on sports tiers?

I get a lot of kickbacks from directv by complaining about not seeing my local teams. However where CSN is at fault is because they GROSSLY overvalued their network. Asking subscriber fees on par with the YES network is a freaking joke.

CSN wants everyone in Houston who subscribes to cable to pay for their channel. Even though not everyone wants to pay to see the Rockets or Astros. They could offer the channel as an optional channel like HBO but they are too stubborn for that.

They also think they deserve a 5-state area of carraige, not just the Houston area or Texas
