When I was watching, I thought back to the Tim Donaghy comment about how refs would get together before a game and joke about seeing who could go the longest without calling a foul.

People have been going crazy praising the Pacers for getting Evan Turner. I'm totally unimpressed by him. He's an inefficient scorer, okay defender, at age 25. This is pretty much his ceiling. You could argue that Granger had a higher ceiling (though that's admittedly in the past). I guess since everyone thrives in the Pacers system, they think they can plug and play anyone.

Totally agree. Granted, I've only seen him a few times when he plays the Texas teams but I didn't see much more than a best player by default on a shiity team. (Though you could make the case it's really Thaddeus Young or MCW)

However, if he gets hot for a series against the Heat to get them over the hump then it's well worth it. Because of that, I say it's worth it. I just don't think he's the player some are making him out to be just because of his stats.

Danny Granger will be released by the Sixers, at least according to what I have heard.


Fan bases of nearly every team will be calling to pick him up, but he is a shell of what he used to be.

Maybe a fresh location will help, or having a clearly defined, but small role, on a team with vets and strong leadership will be just the thing for him (sigh…Spurs), but he's like Chase Budinger or Tayshaun Prince or even Matt Barnes, guys that had it but either time or injury really reduced how effective they really are.

In 2009-10, 8th place in the West was 50 wins, but that year there were 17 teams over .500.

I'm thinking this year, 8th might take 51 wins because the the EC might only have 5-6 teams over .500, and the league's 1230 wins in a season have to go somewhere.

I am hoping the Warriors continue their slide.

The Knicks were so terrible that they had Steve Kerr wishing that he was calling the Raptors-Wizards game that ended up going 3 OTs.

Portland hasn't beaten one of the top 9 teams of the West since Jan. 18th when they beat Dallas. That night, they were in first place in the West. They were 6 up on GSW (in 6th), and 10.5 on Memphis (with Dallas and the Suns in between). They have gone 11-12 since then.

I think they have relinquished any battle for the top 4 spots, and if they play the next 7 weeks like these past 7 weeks, they could be in that 7 or 8 seed around 52 wins.
