its hard to hate any of them to me...three of the better organizations in basketball, not many lowlife players between the three teams

spurs mavs then rockets if i had to pick, but i would and have cheered all three in the finals

Spurs fans I didn't hate you guys until the '06 Finals when a lot of you jumped on the Heat bandwagon to beat us for no apparent reason. After that series I realized you guys were not our friends, and vowed never to root for you ever again.

I have nothing against Pop and Duncan (although he has the most ridiculous "who me? faces") and respect the hell out of them.

Parker and Ginobili can go to hell with all their flopping.

And all the Spurs fans I know were cheering for the Mavs in 2011, Rogue. Makes sense for us not to cheer for our bitter rival in 2006 when both teams were about at their best. Not a lot of Mavs fans were cheering on the Spurs in 03-07. Plus, I don't think any of us realized that DWade was the antichrist and had made a deal with the devil at that point.

I think it is hilarious when people super hate Manu and Parker for flopping, but cheer on their own players that do the exact same thing. At least Manu and Parker don't often flop when there was zero contact like Chris Paul and DWade. That is much worse than over-selling contact flopping IMHO.

Oddly enough, I used to hate the Rockets team in the mid 90s, but not the fans. Meanwhile, I hated the San Antonio fans, but not the team. Probably because me and my dad loved Clyde Drexler, but hated pretty much the rest of those rosters. As for SA, what kid growing up in the state of Texas didn't like David Robinson? Or anyone on the Dream Team?

Now I'm kind of ambivalent towards Houston, but I hate both San Antonio's fans and team.

Funny how stuff like that sticks with you. Thanks to my dad, I hate a lot of players without really knowing why. Like Isaiah Thomas. But when you're ten and you idolize your old man, when he says he hates someone, you hate them, too. Anything else would be sacrilegious.

And for the record, I mean "hate" in the sense that I enjoy them losing. I don't understand people that openly wish ill of players in real life.

And I recognize that it's mostly born of jealousy.

The mavs and rockets change places a lot. Right now I enjoy watching rockets games because they can't play defense and that leads to high scoring games.

I don't hate any of the teams or really dislike any of the players. I really respect Dirk for being like Duncan and staying with his team for his whole career, that means a lot to me.

I do dislike most of the rockets fans on texags because they can be huge ****** bags. The best moments are when the rest of us mock their 'bosh is a done deal' peacocking and especially the whole shades thing after a win.

Also, unlike a fair bit of people I like Cuban. He engages with fans and is willing to take some fines from the NBA to get his point across.

I also like Cuban. I think he is good for the NBA and definitely good for fans.

Currently have Rockets season tickets and know a number of folks in the front office. Born and raised in Houston and probably the team I'm invested in sports more than any other. My parents lived in SA for three years and had season tickets back in the Gervin days, so that's why I enjoy the Spurs. Dallas fans and Cuban really bother more than any other fan base/ owner in the league.

Rockets are the team I'm most invested in. I'm a lifer through the good years and bad.

Spurs have ran a fantastic organization. There are some fans on here that I really enjoy reading their input because they know a lot about basketball and respect their opinions. Other fans just complain when they lose and want to say the nba is rigged, then go away when they win. That got annoying during the western conference finals, but will take the good with the bad. I will say even during Rockets games, I hate just blaming the referees. That might be my most hated reason for losing a game. It plays a part of the game, but it is never the sole reason.

Mavericks are an interesting case because I never had a problem with any Dallas team until college when I was blasted for being a Houston sports fan. I was rooting hard for the Mavs in 2006, and always liked Romo and especially Jason Witten. Again, taking the good with the bad when it comes to fans. I give the edge to San Antonio because what else does that city have sports wise?

I really like how the Rockets/Mavs get up for the San Antonio games. I'm pretty sure that Houston won the regular season series vs SA this year. And 8 seed Dallas was the only team that gave the Spurs a playoff scare.

Dallas hate: stems from Mark Cuban. I, however, enjoy his enthusiasm for the game.

Houston hate: stems from 95 playoffs?

For what it's worth, I'll cheer for a Texas team over a non-Texas team.

The fact that it took seven long years to win this last title (during which two other teams won multiple titles) then out comes the best-team-over-the-last-(fill in the blank)-years talk just reinforces this. I will grant that I liked this title winner the best because of the way they played. It was good basketball, the way it was meant to be played.

It did take 7 years between titles, but the Spurs were 50+ game winners every year in between and were serious contenders for all but about two of those years. And they won 3 in 5 years immediately preceding that. I believe the Spurs are the only team to just make the playoffs in that time period. And no team has more titles in that time period.

Mavs not a threat? The Mavs were the only threat to the Spurs championship run. Even as an 8 seed, I knew the rivalry would make Dallas a tough matchup. I didn't think they would be the toughest matchup!

Not a native Texan, have lived in Houston since 1997 and have been on board with the Rockets...don't hate the Spurs or Mavericks, most of the fans of SA/DAL that I actually know are good folks.

I take the trolling and other stuff on here for what it's worth and largely don't respond to it...but, I'm an old. Pardon me while I go yell at a cloud...

I really dislike the Spurs but an organization like that deserves respect. Their fans trolled very hard in 06 and 07 but I think that made 2011 somewhat sweeter.

I don't get the Rockets at all. They have had great players in recent eras but it never materializes into anything. I don't think Morey is some mastermind. Would like to see Houston do anything on the court to justify how much they talk.

Wouldn't say I hate either organization though. I think each city razzing the other is fun.

It's funny how everytime a rocket fan posts on this thread, guitar soup and company are there to give an explanation or just be a typical spurs fan. I don't have a problem with anyone on the spurs, besides Duncan crying when he gets a foul call, but the spurs fans are extremely butthurt. I got a ban games 2,4,5 just for posting in favor of the heat. They interpreted it as trolling and being a retard.
