1) Spurs fan been following since the Iceman

2) Rockets and Mavs Don't dislike either team. I grew up near Dallas and remember listening to their games on the radio(WBAP) in their first year of existence. Always enjoyed watching Olajuwon play. Enjoy a little trash talk but really don't hate them.

I save the hate for the Kobe Lakers, the Heat, and Danny Ainge.

Because it was and you are/were.

I have no problem with fans of another team. In fact, it makes it nice to have banter back-and-forth with opposing team fans so there's not a "echo room." But when you repeatedly make asinine comments or trolling posts, it's a better forum without you

1. Spurs
2. Rockets

3. Mavs(Want them to lose every game, and yes I rooted for the Heat against the Mavs both times) Mostly because of Cuban, just can't stand that guy.

I guess your boy Dirk can catch a ride with them, he flops as bad as any one.

Do you even have any idea what a flop is? Dirks not a flopper. I'll give it to you if you want to say that he gripes to refs for calls, but how the hell do you flop on a jump shot? Or on the flat footed type of defense he typically plays?

You flop on a jump shot like this.

You're right, it is pretty ridiculous but he's been doing it for years. He's got a trick where he kind of flails his upper body/head/arms and kicks out his leg right after he releases the shot. It's nothing super dramatic, but there's a lot of motion and combined with the defender usually trying to recover it has drawn a lot of bad calls over the years. He didn't draw any/many calls in the playoffs this year, but Splitter was doing a really good job staying in tight so that he could stay vertical and challenge the shot without jumping in.

I know exactly what you're talking about but in my mind those aren't bad calls. If guys are getting in his space, and making contact on his follow through, that should be a foul. Like you said yourself Splitter stayed vertical, meaning he didn't reach forward where contact was much more likely. If more guys played Dirk like Splitter did he would t get as many calls. Kudos to Splitter for figuring it out. It will be interesting to see next year if other teams try to mimic that technique. I think the problem is, most guys don't have the height to be able to bother Dirk unless they reach forward and that's when he gets you with the foul.

I think calling touch fouls on the hands after the ball is already released is incredibly weak.

"In the case of an airborne shooter, the act of shooting continues until the attempt is completed (the ball has left the player's hand(s)) and both of the player's feet return to the floor."

I mean I don't know what to tell you, they need to change the rules or train their refs better on what to call. Dirk's not doing anything wrong taking advantage of the rule.

I'm not disagreeing that it is a rule.

When a player barely brushes a player's hands or arms after the ball is released, it clearly has no effect on the shot. Taking out his arms is a completely different thing. But those light touch fouls are incredibly weak.

I don't mind the call too much when someone blocks the follow through, but he's an expert at getting that call when there was no contact or it was too late/light to have affected follow through.

Along the same lines, I don't mind when guys sell a call when they get hammered, but trying to get a call on little or no contact or jumping into a defender (that's really a Wade and Pierce move more than Nowitzki)? Come on man, play the game.

It only sounds like that because you don't really understand what is being talked about. The Spurs are probably the best team in the league at not fouling like that and a Spur was used as an example in this very thread about how not to foul in that situation.

Poor Mazag.

Been a Spurs fan since ABA days as raised in San Antonio so Spurs will always be my #1 team of all pro teams.

Don't hate either Rockets or Mavs but would put Rockets #2 and Mavs #3.

Rockets fan since the '94 and '95 championships but didn't start following them closely again until the 2009 season.

No real opinion on Dallas or SA. Would choose Dallas over SA b/c of Dirk and Cuban. Respect to SA for playing good team basketball.

Still want to travel to Dallas or SA to see Rockets play there in regular season. Just haven't been able to make it happen yet.

Holt is a good owner in that he hires the best and trusts them them to run his team.

Cuban is kind of a ****** but I admit he's good as a fan/owner that promotes his team and is actively involved without interfering negatively.

But as far as being "media personalities", Pop wins hands down.
