Officially listed as questionable. Doc said they would go small, play Hedo and play Hawes.

I am all for all of those things. Especially if they are playing Austin Rivers at the same time as Hedo or Hawes.

I hope it plays out like you imagine it. I just doubt Jordan will get yanked in a game 7 in favor of Hawes or Turkeyglue even if he shoots 40% on FTs or whatever he has been averaging.

They have officially said it is a sprained ankle. Don't know that you can sprain a tendon.

I can't imagine they will yank Jordan if he misses some free throws. Especially considering the Spurs will eventually get into foul trouble and just have to stop doing it. If I were Doc, I would leave him in. Give him and Griffin the rest while he goes to the line and let the Spurs get into foul trouble.

Lets not act like the Spurs are deep in the post either. We've got Duncan and Diaw. After that, production falls off.

here is his FT shooting for the series. i say make him shoot 30 on saturday. even if he goes 60%, they'll lose. it takes the crowd and their offense out of sync. he's young. i bet he shoots less than 40% in game 7. i don't see how pop avoids this.

There is no more correlation there than on your 3 pt example. It has been a series decided by a very small margin.

For him to shoot 30 FTs means there is at least 15 fouls someone has to absorb plus all those it requires to get in the bonus. That means guys like Bonner, Baynes, Ayers, etc will likely be on the court during Spurs offensive possesions. Odds are that hurts the Spurs more overall, not to mention the spurs rythym also being affected. Plus if we breath on reddick, Paul or Crawford while in the bonus that's an instant 2 points for the Clips, so I don't like the idea of spending large portions of the Qtrs on the bonus. It is marginal strategy.

and yes, 30 is a bit of an exaggeration. i was just kidding. i don't think 20 is too high though. my whole point is that you force rivers to adjust due to the lack of their top defender. if they fall down by 10 because of his free throws (which has happened already), he has to bring somebody else in. then, you take advantage of that situation.

Ugh. I hate the day before a game 7. Season could be over tomorrow. Or we could be in for an epic championship run.
