He actually hasn't been taking too many 3s this year. Last night was the anomaly in this category. And he's not really a bad defender from what I've seen
Last time I checked, lots of the better defensive statistics showed him to be below average. Granted it's been a while.

His triple-double led sportscenter last night. They failed to mention that he jacked up several shots that had no chance of going in.
Did they mention that Pat made him look even worse on offense in the last two minutes of that game than James looked?

2015-16 Houston Rockets vs 2016-17 Houston Rockets (so far) is a perfect example of the night and day difference a competent coach can make
Losing McHale wasn't the difference maker (proven by the success we had two years ago). It's the fact that Dwight Howard is gone. The reason we played so well 2 seasons ago was because Harden was dialed-in and Howard was injured for 80% of the year.CreedBratton said:aggie1906 said:

Bev and Ariza have been outstanding, and Gordon is a very welcome surprise.
Don't forget Anderson was the absolute perfect PF for this offense and Dekker has been huge.

Switching out mchale for Pringles has absolutely been a difference maker. You are kidding yourself if you think mchale could have gotten this team to play this well. He was tactically incompetent.
But he was a players coach and big man guru until he wasn't.
That's awesome.
