If guys can step up (which isn't that unreasonable), why can't we win Game 6?

If we continue to play defense like the last 2 games...we can definitely win if someone gets hot.

Really need James to make a three pointer (or 10)

I hope you guys are right however CP was THE driving force that won these games. Need a perfect game from the bench.

Dumb. I hope the Warriors feel this way...obviously we will be big underdogs. However, two games in this series saw neither team reach 100....if anything close to that happens again we could easily win. It will take a strong effort and good shooting from a combination of Harden/Gordon/Ariza and some bonus corner threes from Tucker, but can be done.

Not to exaggerate, but it feels like this next game or games will define Harden's career. He's struggled shooting in game 4 and 5. Have a huge game 6 or 7 and beat the Warriors and all the talk about his playoff struggles will end. Shoot like he did last night and the game before and (probably lose the series) then all we will hear about is how Harden can't carry the team.

Harden certainly has the ability to be THE force in Game 6.

Whether or not he decides to remains to be seen.

I agree with this. He should be buying EG dinner tonight for helping hide Harden's performance. If he doesn't have an MVP type performance in one of the next two games and we lose both, it will be hard not to agree with the whole Harden sucks in crunch time beliefs.

Also, did anyone else hear the reporter talk at the start of the 3rd quarter? Was saying how Harden stayed at the gym after the games getting in shots and stayed there for hours, wanting to practice.

It's a win-win for Harden. No one should think less of him if he can't carry the Rockets (-CP3) against 4 All-Stars... but if he can, it can be a signature moment in his career.

He's certainly due and if the Warriors decide to throw the kitchen sink at him on D then there will be some wide open Rockets to drain threes. My hope is he is aggressive to the basketball game freeing up Rockets shooters. I know I am not saying anything genius, but if they are hitting their threes like they did during the season, they have a chance in game 6. My best guess is they lose by double digits in game 6 and we hope Paul can play game 7.

I did hear that and I was thinking on the one hand I like where his mind is at, but on the other it might be better to chill on the partying & social stuff and make it more of a 12-months a year holistic commitment so he doesn't have to "cram" before the big test and wear himself out.

He is a once in a lifetime talent and I don't think he's a bad guy but he strikes me as a still very immature person.

Harden has to go in for the squad. Can't perform like last night. We need him.

I don't believe Harden can put 2 good shooting games together back to back. Worst case scenario is that the return to the mean happens in Game 6 simultaneously with Curry and Thompson and Durant and it goes wasted like it did in game 1.

Although the truth is that Klay's shot well from 3 the entire series and Durant has too pretty much. They're both hopefully due duds.

Yeah to me, this just means Gerald is in more than last game. Can't change what we've been doing.

The fact that they didn't list him as questionable or make it a game-time decision makes me think we've seen the last of Chris Paul in this series.

I also don't think they're going to be able to keep up the defense. Paul is a huge part of the defense and I get nervous about Thompson and Curry getting free without him. Plus, Harden has been putting a lot of energy into defense in the series (probably the hardest I've ever seen him try) and I don't know if he'll be able to continue that if he has to shoulder more of the offensive load. Finally, I think the short rotation is going to take it's toll.

I'm not completely pessimistic though. Maybe Luc magically returns to form. Or maybe we shoot 40-50% from 3. We got a lot of good shots last night and missed a ton. Or maybe Harden comes through and quiets the haters.

One other thing that gives me hope is that Steve Kerr's comments about being confident and not needing to adjust their offense. Could all be for the media, but I feel like the Warriors general attitude is still that the Rockets aren't on their level and they've just been unlucky.

CP3 or no CP3, every single HOU fan on this board would have taken a 7 game series if offered at the start of this thing.

Going into the series all the talking heads were consistent in saying that the Warriors starters were distinctly better than the rockets, and the rockets had a huge edge with bench/depth. D'Antoni then decides hey, I just want to use two players off the bench, not even running those other players out for a few minutes here and there. I'm sure its what the matchups dictate, but does again point to how little the talking heads know about how the teams/rotations are going to be managed.

Paul was -13 last night. Only player with a minus differential. He also shot 6-19. Barely better than harden's 5-21. Just trying to find reasons to be optimistic.

6 man rotation tomorrow then? Or get Luc some minutes and keep it at 7? Road Ryno?

West played 12 minutes yesterday so it seems like Nene could get in there when West does.

Edit: IF West gets in. Looking at the previous games he played little to no minutes.
