agree that the threat of the three helps him create more space and drive with more ease. But he's taking over 9 3s per game and is only shooting 32%. That's really bad. And the low percentage is becuase basically all of his 3s are step back threes with a defender in his face. That's such a tough shot.
He's 6th in the leage in 3 pointers attempted. And his 32% is well below everyone in the top 20 besides Bradley Beal. Everyone else is at least 36% and many are 39-40% plus. I'd like to see him cut back on some of the step back 3s. Get his attempts down to 6-7 per game, and I think that would make his percentage go up a little.
It's probably tough for him because we don't have many playmakers, so he doesn't get many opportunities to shoot open 3s off of a pass from another playmaker. So if he's going to shoot 3s, which everyone wants to do, he usually has to create them himself.
