Season ticket holder here for 10+ years. We decided back in February to not renew. Glad we made that decision when we did. The team and league I loved has decided politics are more important than a game people love. Good riddance. Won't even watch the rest of the series or playoffs at this point.

This is just more virtue signaling, on par with posting a black square on instagram or companies putting BLM all over their ads, which shockingly didnt end up accomplishing anything despite the concerted efforts. Who/what exactly are they boycotting against? Theyre on strike against nobody in particular. It'd be one thing if the owners of the league were the one's they were seeking change from. Their job is to entertain us? No, their job is to get paid by their bosses (the owners) to perform a service that leads to revenue from advertising, TV contracts, ticket sales, etc. If they choose to stop down today for something they believe in, that's their right as Americans in a free society.
Don't act like they owe you to play the sport. If they decided to not play again this season (which I don't want) it's not like they're taking money from your hands. How can any fan think that they're owed anything just because you're a fan of a g-dam sports team?

They are paid to do a job that ultimately is to entertain us. That's the entire point of their job. If they refuse to do it for a dumb ass make believe reason I don't think they should keep their job. Correct, but until the owners show they have a problem with what they're doing (as in fining or releasing them, yeah right), then I don't think we can say they're wrong for reacting how they want to.

I don't think the bucks or the majority of players had any interest in not playing. If you stop playing, nobody will pay attention. I think they just wanted to get some attention.
