I'm certainly not comparing Banchero to Hakeem or Jabari to Jordan, but Chet sure looks like Sam Bowie stuck between the two of them on that draft board.

Great draft for the Rockets.

Jabari Smith was my #1 prospect. His absolute floor is a 10 yr 3&D wing. He'll literally fit in any roster construction that Houston wants.

TyTy Washington at the end of the 1st might be the best value pick of the draft. He had a bad NCAA tourney but the dude can play and will fit like a glove in Houston. Rockets desperately needed a PG who could run a PnR and TyTy is that dude. Plus he still has plenty of upside.

I also love the Tari Eason pick. Never a bad idea to draft long wing players and Houston may have gotten the 2 best.

My only surprise and mild concern was the fact that Houston is apparently keeping all these picks? Development wise it could be a mess trying to sort out everyone's growing pains. Is that 7 rookies and sophomores on the team now? Lol Could be some rough growing pains.

Looks like we had a good night last. I wasn't as anti-Chet as a lot of you guys but couldn't be happier Smith fell to us. Feels like we are rebuilding the right way.

I'm just still kind of shocked that Jabari fell to 3. I love it, but I'm shocked. I wanted Banchero over Holmgren so I wasn't surprised to see him go first, but the door was wide open for OKC and they said **** it and gave us a gift.

Of course time will tell, like with any draft, but I think we got the best player two years running

Time will tell but as of now, I would have Jalen as 3rd for last year.

Cade clear-cut #1 long term and then Mobley just over Jalen.

If Jabari pans out and can make some good moves in 2023, the future is bright.

Call your shot:

Banchero at 3

Jalen Williams at 17

Dalen Terry at 26

(Terry probably won't be there....maybe this is more hopeful...)

Lol....0 for 3....not even close.

Still, very happy with the outcome. Jabari was my favorite prospect prior to the lottery. Tari has loads of potential as a defensive wing. I'd be happy to move KMJ and/or Tate to free up playing time for them. If TyTy becomes a pass first PG he could be the biggest steal in the draft. He dropped 17 assists in one game when given that responsibility.

Need to buy out John Wall. I don't want him anywhere near our young guys.

I like the Rockets' draft, but it's hard to get too excited. Some of these guys will never play meaningful minutes simply due to numbers. 7 first and second year players, another high pick next year, plus KPJ and cap space.

Jalen Green over Mobley for me. No question. Cunningham and Barnes would be much tougher choices.

Mobley was awesome last year for a LONG stretch....tough to know how he will hold up for a long career but I like his game. Maybe cutting hairs between him and Green in terms of long-term value to a team if both pan out.

Loved the draft. Got the best player. Got an elite defender. And got huge value on the 29th pick. I've felt we needed an actual point guard for a while.

I'd give them half their picks back if they send Durant
