It was great to watch the Golden State Warriors defeat the Denver Nuggets 102-98 in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs First Round to win the series 4-1. After the Nuggets led the Warriors 78-70 at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Warriors outscored the Nuggets 32-20 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. The Warriors will play the winner of the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Memphis Grizzlies playoff series and have a few days to rest.

It was the Warriors first playoff series win since sweeping the Portland Trailblazers 4-0 in the 2019 Western Conference Finals. Also, the Warriors won a closeout playoff game at Chase Center for the first time since relocating from Oakland to San Francisco in the 2019-2020 NBA season. Go Warriors!

I don't think bucks can beat Boston without Middleton unless there is a Celtics injury.

That may be overreacting to the first round but Middleton matters.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and Dallas Mavericks all won closeout Game 6's on the road. Only the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Memphis Grizzlies playoff series has yet to be decided. Game 6 will be tomorrow, if necessary, Game 7 will be played on Sunday. If the Grizzlies hang on, the Warriors will travel to Memphis for Western Conference Semifinals Game 1. But if the Timberwolves somehow stun the Grizzlies in 7 games, the Warriors will host the Timberwolves to start the Western Conference Semifinals.

Eastern Conference Semifinals
No. 4 Philadelphia 76ers vs No. 1 Miami Heat
No. 3 Milwaukee Bucks vs No. 2 Boston Celtics

Western Conference Semifinals
No. 4 Dallas Mavericks vs No. 1 Phoenix Suns
No.3 Golden State Warriors vs No. 7 Minnesota Timberwolves/No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies

So far Morant is a no show in Game 6. They need him to step up to get a road close out win.

This was the 3rd time the Memphis Grizzlies rallied from a double digit deficit in the 4th quarter, including twice on the road. As a result, there will not be a single Game 7 in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Eastern Conference Semifinals
No. 4 Philadelphia 76ers vs No. 1 Miami Heat
No. 3 Milwaukee Bucks vs No. 2 Boston Celtics

Western Conference Semifinals
No. 4 Dallas Mavericks vs No. 1 Phoenix Suns
No. 3 Golden State Warriors vs No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies

Why no playoff games on Thursday the 5th?

I thought Thursday was a big revenue night from advertising?

It was great to watch the Golden State Warriors overcome the ejection of Draymond Green to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 117-116 on the road to win Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. As a result, the Warriors have won at least one road game in 25 consecutive playoff series dating back to the 2013 NBA first round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets.

Brooks should be out for as long as payton is, that was an extremely dirty play

He had already beaten their whole team down the court on the fast break and the game had just started. Just give up the two points, man. Dirty AF.

It's laughable that the coach of Draymond Green talks about breaking "the code" when Brooks is cut from the same cloth as Draymond with a lot, lot fewer dirty plays, an amazing number that happen to go to the other guys eyes and face.

And yes, a guy could fracture something when being "tripped" from behind

And this wasn't Draymond, but if the outcome is what matters (injury) then Kerr should have spoke up about this code violation, and yes, Kerr of all people should be well aware of what a player is doing when they put their foot under a jump shooter. Twice.

3 of the 4 NBA Conference Semifinals are tied at 2-2 each. The only exception is the No. 3 Golden State Warriors 3-1 lead over the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies. After the Golden State Warriors trailed the Memphis Grizzlies 76-64 with 10:21 left, the Warriors outscored the Grizzlies 37-22 to win Game 4 101-98 and take a 3-1 lead. Go Warriors!

The Celtics and Bucks are really battling it out. You can tell the Celtics want to take that next step, and the Bucks want to defend their title.

Memphis was like 20-2 or something crazy like that without morant this season. That's why all the morant mvp talk seemed kinda dumb.

Doesn't seem to make much sense, but they play great without him.

The No. 1 Miami Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 99-90 in Game 6 to win the series 4-2. After a close first half and a 49-48 lead at halftime, the Heat outscored the Heat 50-42 in the 2nd half. The Heat increased their lead to as many as 20 points before hanging on to eliminate the 76ers in a road game. That also broke the trend of the home team winning each of the first 5 game by an average margin of 18.6 points. As a result, the Heat advance to their 9th conference finals appearance, including 2 in the last 3 years.
