Trade market sucks, though. Overpay for Kuz or PJ Washington?Grapesoda2525 said:

Unlikely. Unless something obvious falls into their lap, i wouldn't force it. Pay off the pick owed to the Knicks and the Mavs will have Richaun Holmes+THJ expiring+3 FRPs and 4 swaps.Grapesoda2525 said:

Stop it I can't take it anymore.M.C. Swag said:
lol of course they do, that's why I said it would never happen. But he'd be a great on court fit with this roster.

Luka doesn't get a triple double when he was at 9 assists with 6 minutes left.
Marc Stein before last night’s game on the Mavs’ trade discussions with Charlotte for PJ Washington:

“The Hornets love Josh Green. Josh Green is playing really well. That’s a hard move for the Mavs to make, but you’re not going to get quality unless you surrender quality” https://t.co/38el4lwpqy
I like PJ but I don't know that I like anybody on our team who would take Green's minutes. I would like to give up a little less. Josh may be starting to come around a little.M.C. Swag said:Marc Stein before last night’s game on the Mavs’ trade discussions with Charlotte for PJ Washington:

What do we think?

once Lively is back, the PJ trade is a lot less compelling. Josh does look like he's starting to turn a corner for the season as of the last few games and he played great last night. I think we need to hold him back as better trade value off season or next year, or if he really starts to excel, make him a permanent staple
He was available for every game at Duke? And his only NBA injuries were flukes (a rolled ankle in which Scoot Henderson dove at his legs for a loose ball and a broken nose). It's not like he has knee/back/foot issues (which are truly worrying big man injuries).Vinny said:zgolfz85 said:

The problem with this idea is going back to his year at Duke Lively has been out for injury a LOT. We definitely need more size at 4-5 to make up for minutes when he's out. We don't have a backup center at all and I'm not sold that PJ is the answer as he's more of a 3-4. That's why I'm more of a fan of Gafford. Regardless we need size because the days of trying to use Powell and Kleber at center are over.
Luka did the same thing last night. He tried the mask and then took it off. Most players don't like it. That doesn't mean he's sitting out longer. He just had surgery on Monday to have his nose fixed, so he wasn't going to be able to play no matter what.shack009 said:
I heard on a radio segment that Lively is refusing to play in a mask. What in the world is up with that? So he would rather sit out for longer while his nose heals instead of playing with a protective mask? That is such a red flag, if true.
Can confirm @wojespn report that the Mavs and Wizards have agreed to parameters of a deal for Daniel Gafford. A significant an needed upgrade for center depth, but I’m told Mavs still very motivated to get wing help.

The Washington Wizards are nearing a deal to send Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks for Richaun Holmes and draft compensation, sources tell ESPN.

Gotta see the draft comp. As long as we aren't touching Green or any of our FRPs, I'm thrilled with it.PatAg said:
Seems like an excellent move that addresses a weakness
The Mavericks, I’m told, are poised to acquire draft compensation from Oklahoma City that will be to routed to Washington to complete the Richaun Holmes-for-Daniel Gafford swap. https://t.co/inRxnKvDNM
