Dude is a great player but he's not worth it. Every team he has played for, he has caused problems.

Jalen was absolutely dominant tonight.

It wasn't just about total production. He was finally clutch when he needed to be. In the 3rd when LeBron got hot, Jalen started matching him shot for shot and kept them from getting ahead of us.


Late in the 4th in a 2 possession game, he was calling for the ball and commanding his shot - and he was nails.


This was the Jalen we've been wanting to see him be

Exactly. He probably should have gone sooner just to get more game minutes.

He should have been getting more minutes in the NBA. Fred hasn't been great, and the Rockets arent winning a championship this year. We're solidly a playoff team even without FVV playing well, so why not get Reed minutes.

Reed is starting tonight in the G league. Had 7 points and 4 assists early in the 2nd quarter when I looked at the box score

Jalen having a heater for a 3rd and Amen defense on point as usual.

Went to look at the rgv box score earlier to see how reed was doing and he was 1-7 from 3....just looked again and he is now 8-19 on 49 pts...

Team is 24-12, on pace for 55 wins
Was 18-18 at this point last year.

Reaching the part of the season where they fell apart last year, and couldn't dig out of the hole in time to make the playoffs. After getting to 19-18, they went 6-16 to fall to 25-34.

Sheppard shoots 17 of 33 from the field 8 of 19 from the arc, 49 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 4 turnovers. So I guess the problem is the Rockets aren't letting him be white Jalen Green and jack up 30+ shots per night?

He needs shots to get in a rythmn. He was getting 0-10 mins a game with 2-4 shots. You can't expect him to have any rhythms with that kind of play time.

Jalen and FVV have been shooting 32% form 3. 40% overall. It's not like we can't find the minutes.

Good for him to log some G League minutes. Still can't understand how we can't find him 15 mins a game.

Jalen is shooting 40% from three for January and is having a great month overall. Rockets have won three of four for the month, so I can't see Reed stealing any of those minutes right now.

Sounds like Reed didn't like being sent down. You love to see it.

I think one of his biggest challenges is that he is getting hunted on the defensive end. He is our worst defender, so other teams immediately exploit him. At this point in his career, he hasn't figured out how to properly defend bigger players (and most players are bigger than him) so he basically gets manhandled once he steps on the court. Until he figures out how to be more physical, he will have to thrive on a handful of shots/minutes, which he has struggled with so far. He got to take 19 3s yesterday, that's never going to happen in the NBA if he plays soft. He either needs to bulk up or figure out how to be efficient with low shooting numbers.
