Ugly wins still count as wins.

Sketchy at the end there but these boys are hooping. What a month so far.

I didn't mean "tank" as in tank on purpose, just a prediction they would fall (making their pick more valuable to us)

Didn't get to watch tonight - but I'll gladly accept another win even if it sounds scrappy

Such are the woes of a ridiculously young, ultra talented team. Win 3 straight against the leagues best teams, then get pushed by a sub .500 team.

The vast majority of teams would have lost last night. It was a brutal spot.

That was a really mature win. It wasn't pretty, but it was the second game of a back to back coming off an emotional win when most starters played nearly 40+ minuses.

This team has come a long way.

In the middle of a stretch with 8 of 9 on the road. Having to cram in the ATL make up game adds to the challenge. Once they get through this they have a long stretch at home with one road game.

Big game Thursday at the Grizz on national TV.

Games like that really show the depth of this team. The fact you got guys like Tate, Landale, and Holiday with fresh legs to play meaningful minutes and contribute in meaningful ways a night after beating the champs on their court is a wonderful luxury to have.

Being reported that we have interest in Fox. Going to be interesting to see where that goes.

What I heard from Shams yesterday is ten teams made calls. I think Miami, Houston, Orlando, and SA all have most legitimate interest, but I don't know if I see a real bidding war breaking out.

Orlando makes a lot of sense if they can do Jon Issac, Anthony Black, Jett Howard and some firsts. But will Fox want to be there long term since he wants to be in SA or Houston (or Miami with his college buddy Bam.)

I read a long piece on SI yesterday that says Fox wants the Spurs and they are the favorite to get him. Houston, Miami, and Orlando are the other choices. But it reiterated the Rockets not wanting to mess up what they already have going.

This is a really bizarre comparison and dates me as an old man, but it keeps reminding me of the 1994 season when the Rockets won the title. The Atlanta Hawks got off to a great start and then randomly traded Dominique to the Clippers for Danny Manning. I looked up the numbers and it feels pretty similar to Houston, although we certainly wouldn't be trading anyone of Dominique's talents, but:

Hawks started the year 34-13 and were #1 in the east.
Traded Dominique for Manning.
Went 23-12 the rest of the way.
Almost lost in the best of 5 first round, then lot to Indiana in the second round.

Player wise, there is no comparison between those guys and Fox and whoever a trade would be, it just seems like a weird trade timing wise. Usually it feels like a trade comes when you feel a team has reached its ceiling and needs help. That's not where the Rockets are right now.

I think you could make the argument that this Rockets team is a lot like the 2004 Pistons. Elite defense, average offense and no real MVP level Superstar.

They make the trade for 2-way all star Rasheed Wallace and go on to beat the Lakers in the finals.

One of my favorite teams of all time as an NBA fan. Rip, Tayshaun Prince, Big Ben, Rasheed, and Billups. They just wanted it more every time they stepped on the court.

Grizz making a push and the last couple possessions have been shot for shot. Cam rebounds his own miss for a layup going into a timeout. 86-84 Houston late 3Q.

Memphis leads with 8.6 to go. Houston timeout, 120-119. It's go time. No Alpi. How do they deny Thompson.

Lose by 1. Not sure FVV is the guy I want taking 2 tough step back 3's at the end of the game. Regardless, great road trip

All you need is a two, but they launch two stupid ill-advised 3s.
I hate the new NBA.
This is exactly why I don't watch anymore.

Awful play call out of a TO. FVV can't take that last shot with how poorly he played tonight

FVV bricks a three...Amen should've driven to the hoop but he didn't really have a lane. Memphis finished on a 13-4 run.
