I knew santana wasn't ready. They went the easy route because he was on the 40 and Wates wasnt. Wates should be up here.
Yep. I wasn't really excited with Santana being called up. I know why they did it, but I wasn't a fan.

The Astros have traded pitcher Alex Sogard to the Diamondbacks, MLB Daily Dish’s Chris Cotillo tweets. The Astros will receive minor-league infielder Cesar Carrasco in return. Sogard, 26, has pitched 43 1/3 innings for Double-A Corpus Christi this season, with 5.2 K/9 and 4.2 BB/9.

They flew him to Houston for his physical and to sign, but the ligament issue popped up so it's back to the negotiating table.

But what they lose this year would be the slot money for the 1.1 in 2014, so they would lose Jacob Nix who has agreed to money that was going to be there if they sign Aiken.

They'll reach an agreement. The astros have too much to lose picking at the top of the draft next year.
