Hopefully the Astros will be a cure, but the formula for beating them so often last year was to outlast the starter and get to their lousy bullpen. Now we have a lousy bullpen of our own.
I bet you looked at him last year and said "oh great, look at this f***ing spare" before he reeled off the best year of left-handed relief we've ever had in Arlington.
Sure, but so far he's no bueno and it's not exactly unheard of for a relatively spare reliever to have a great year and then go back to being themselves. Bullpens can be very fickle due to this kind of thing. It's early, but he'd be far from the first.
