I can't disagree. The lineup and what they are having to roll out to the mound several times per week is scary. Holland may help some, but he won't be a miracle cure by any means. And he still has a long way to go just to get back.
Going into the west coast trip, Rangers were 32-34, 8 games back of Oakland, and 2.5 out of the WC. After trip, Rangers are 35-40, 11.5 games back of Oakland, and 4.5 out of WC.
Only glimmer of hope is the WC. There are currently 10 teams within 5 games of the WC (including the Rangers), which include the Angels, Yankees, and Red Sox. I don't see how the Rangers have a realistic chance here.
Matt West promoted to the BP. You may recall he was busted for PEDs early in his minors and then the Rangers converted him to pitcher... which was slowed by TJ surgery.
Well... here he is. :-)
Likely will pitch tonight.
Lewis on the bump. We'll definitely need all the BP arms we can get.
I haven't been able to watch much baseball this season. My mother was hospitalized on opening day and spent 9 weeks in the hospital, so I had other things on my plate.
I've been able to catch games over the past couple of weeks. I usually turn on the game on in the 2nd inning, but tonight I tuned in right at the first pitch. I was finally able to see a game where the Rangers weren't trailing when I tuned in...that didn't last long.
Truth is... when you are 3-18... down 13-3... you tend to lose a little focus and clown ball ensues. Sadly.

Sorry about your mom, but sounds like you may be the reason the Rangers sucked today... and had all the problems. Tell you mom to get better so the Rangers can get back to winning.
It's been a long 2 months since then. He's gone from a guy that tended to look decent early and fade midway (where I was hoping he'd gain more stamina with time) to Joe Saunders and just sucking right away. Glorified BP.
